  1. I'm pretty sure there's enough room for all David Gilmour look-a-likes on the forum! Besides, Ronniedawg can be David Glimour THEN and Pilot can be David Gilmour NOW.
  2. When I saw the first two I thought...looks like David Gilmour a bit, no? Anyone ever tell you that? And the last one has a kind of John Paul Jones vibe to it. And your son is beyond adorable! Especially love his rock star hair!
  3. Juliet, you are such a sweetheart. Thankfully, I was not affected by this disaster. Watching the latest news regarding this, all affected by this are lucky to be alive. It happened at a time when people were in their homes and not walking outside....just thinking how horrible the outcome could have been gives me chills. So far it appears there are only two casualties: A firefighter and an employee of the plant (the latter has been missing for a few days ) I feel awful for those who have been directly affected by this and haven't been allowed into their homes since the accident. Some people's homes may not be habitable anymore. Horrible. I appreciate your concern Juliet.
  4. There's a great band from the U.K called The Music and they have a new album out called 'Strength In Numbers' I'm listening to that right now They are pretty cool.
  5. And what's worse they've only charged him with second degree murder. Makes you wonder how much more gruesome did this case have to be in order for it to be first degree murder. I love Canada, but I'm so disappointed in our justice system. It really does seem like one can get away with murder. The guy walks on a bus with a huge butcher knife and that's not enough proof that he was planning to kill somebody? What, was he just taking his favourite knife out for a little stroll. I am so livid over this whole case. And the coward still refuses to speak.
  6. For my current book, I decided to go to a good ol' classic: 'Wuthering Heights' by Emily Bronte. So far, I'm really liking it.
  7. This was a very interesting read. Very informative. I have to admit, that I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would cause it's more science than it is music. Even still, worth reading.
  8. This is probably one of the weirdest books I've ever read....but that's what you get when you read a Christopher Moore book It was a fun read, though.
  9. I've said it before and I'll say it again, and again and again: Knebworth Robert is stunning!! Great pictures. And on a completely different note, I just noticed the hot pics of Jimmy thread picked up some speed and is at 105 pages...come on Robettes let's catch up!!!
  10. I haven't been able to stop thinking about this story. I find myself having tears in my eyes when I think about it. :'( :'(
  11. Love the yellow lights in this one...and his expression....Golden God....yup!
  12. Steven Page (lead singer for Barenaked Ladies) arrested for cocaine possession. WHO WOULDA THUNK IT!!?? http://www.citynews.ca/news/news_24820.aspx
  13. No kidding. I remember when I used to be a manager at a small store and people would come in and ask if we had a washroom and I told them it's only for staff and they'd get pissed off (Even though there were public washrooms right around the corner.) But it's definitely not safe to have random strangers come in and out of staff rooms where employees may leave their money and other personal belongings.
  14. Big news of the day: They are trying to pass a law that businesses must let you use their washrooms even if you don't buy anything and just walk in for the sole purpose of answering the call of nature. I disagree. There are the big shopping centres with public washrooms with people hired to keep the washrooms clean. Small businesses and their employees should not have to clean up after no one but themselves. Not to mention there are some inconsiderate people out there and god only knows what mess they would leave behind. Perhaps it's not such a big deal for coffee shops or fast food places but what about a really nice fancy store/restaurant? That's not fair to the business having anybody walk in and out when they please. We'll see what happens.
  15. It's not JUST that but I believe its a big part of it. And I said that the border workers on both sides have bad attitudes. Give somebody a little authority and they begin to think their shit don't stink. As for Canada Day celebrations, they are what you make them. Try to make it fun with whatever your idea of fun is. Surround yourself with company you like and try to lighten up. It's all up to you.
  16. In response to "Jaws" The reason perhaps that we Canadians are so tough when it comes to crossing the border is because of all the 9/11 and terrorist stuff. It was reported a lot of them entered through Canada and then a lot of Americans, such as yourself, used the "blame Canada" defense. Basically, when we're not strict enough you complain and when we're too strict you also complain. Crossing the border can be a pain in the ass. I've done it on numerous occasions and my experiences with the American side weren't that great either. It's part of the process.
  17. DE-FRIGGIN-LICIOUS! He looks incredible!
  18. On my way home tonight I set my iPod on "shuffle" and 'Nutshell' came on. What a great song! This band could go heavy and then slow it down and create something so pretty.
  19. Well, the much talked about Paul Bernardo interview hit the airwaves and not surprisingly, it's now everywhere. I saw the whole thing and it's the first time I have ever heard him speak. What a sick, twisted fucktard he is. He referred to his heinous crimes as "mistakes he committed 17 years ago." A mistake would be.... stealing a pack of gum... not killing, mutilating and raping young girls. It's also sick how he was trying to play the victim.... i.e how it affected him that people accused him of crimes he didn't commit....in this case the Elizabeth Bain murder. Watching him, it was so hard to imagine this puny-looking, nerdy-voiced, scrawny asswipe is responsible for the horrific crimes he's committed. Goes to show that appearances are very deceiving. Angers me to know this piece of shit sits comfortably in a jail with dental care, medical care, and many other perks that Canadians pay for. (Apparently, he costs us 65,000 a year) Sick.
  20. There are some recent clips on you tube of the Alice In Chains with their new singer...I'm not saying the dude is bad but he's definitely no Layne Staley. I understand and respect Cantrell and the rest of the guys for wanting to move on. Layne's passing was very sad, but that doesn't mean the remaining members of AIC have to sit around and not create new material. I wish they didn't call it Alice in Chains though...that doesn't seem right.
  21. I much prefer this length and style of hair to the current 'do he has going on. When it's done up this way it makes him look younger.
  22. I understand what you're saying. I often order a pack of timbits only to go home and find two or three extras in there. It happens and many Tim Horton's employees do it. So if many employees do it, then it's ok? Perhaps, if the employee involved in this 'timbit fiasco' didn't hand out free product whenever she felt like it, she wouldn't have given a fellow employee the opportunity to get her fired over a timbit. I had a friend who worked at Tim Horton's and everytme I or anyone she knew went there she'd hand them their coffee and whisper, "This one's on me, just take it" I refused each and every time and I told her not to do that. She responded by saying "...it's no big deal and they make shitloads of money..." To me, them making shitloads of money, or the every-body-does-it thing are just excuses and it shouldn't change the fact this women should have just said "I was wrong, I shouldn't have done that." I hate when people don't own up to something and instead turn around and use every excuse under the sun to try and prove they didn't do anything wrong. It starts with something as trivial as a timbit...
