  1. Ah man, I was SO CLOSE to flying out to California with some friends for the Chula Vista show on the 29th, but money work and school got in the way. Radiohead deserve all of our respect. They be amazin'.
  2. I second that motion. David Byrne - he's got character, man. Just listen him on Remain In Light - Born Under Punches is incredible. Ian Curtis John Fogerty what's-her-name from Portishead, Beth Gibbons? Mark E Smith Thom Yorke 'n some others I've probly forgotten.
  3. Biggest problem you're facing is that you're doing nothing new. Before I listened to your songs I'd already heard them a hundred times by a dozen artists. Reminded me most of Blue Oyster Cult funnily enough, as they aren't in your list of influences. If that's what you're shooting for, then go for it. But if you want someone like me to buy your albums, then I'd recommend a new vocalist and getting away from the tried-and-tired standards of 'classic' rock.
  4. Gimme Shelter is the only song I ever really listen to of theirs. But MAN, what a song.
  5. This doesn't seem to be on the level. But... 250 gigs seems like a HUGE amount. But I never download anything. I have no idea what my random internet surfing adds up to... maybe it's not a big amount as it seems.
  6. If I count as a band, then yes. Haven't written/recorded anything in months because life picked up and I'm waiting until I get some better equipment (pedals, computer software, whatever)
  7. Fugazi - The Argument Nobody rocks like Fugazi rocks.
  8. No order: Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead) - he's the dude in my sig. Eddie Hazel (Funkadelic) Tom Verlaine (Television) Sonny Sharrock (Last Exit, solo jazz artist) Adrian Belew (Bowie, Talking Heads, King Crimson) Kevin Shields (My Bloody Valentine) Robert Fripp (King Crimson) Ian Mackaye (Minor Threat, Fugazi) Guy Picciotto (Fugazi) Keith Levene (Public Image Ltd.) I just noticed I dropped 10 guitarists that no one else had mentioned yet. I promise, I'm not some elitist snob or anything, I really do like these guys.
  9. Wow. That guy's got style. ...dang. He's only got one CD available and the links you posted aren't on it.
  10. A few contradictions there: 'laid back acoustic stuff' and 'interesting', and 'D&D' and 'inspired'. Watched Ebon Coast, he's good. If you just listen, and aren't watching him playing, it sounds like he's using overdubs. Cool.
  11. Pretty good, but I'm not looking for another post rock album right now. A bit of Godspeed You! and Sigur Ros goes a looooooooooooong way. I'll come back to them later.
  12. It just arrived in the post. I'm shaking in anticipation.
  13. 'sme about 8 months ago. Don't expect many of these, if you ever see one again. I hate pictures of me.
  14. Far as I know Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore have been solid for 20+ years.
  15. What MadScreamingGallery said is exactly the feedback I've been reading in other reviews. That's really disappointing. Why can't the album be as cool as the album title?
