  1. I've been a swimmer since before I could walk. Everyone will be affected to some degree, myself indirectly, but many need swim fins, masks and even duckwings to swim in. I swim sans any accoutrements. I have nothing to lose anyway, NONE of my "investments" are with any institution, bring on the waves! Tumult is SO EXCITING!!!!!!!!! And if the dollar becomes worthless, it won't matter if you have $10 or $10 billion.

  4. WooHoo!!!! It's wonderful, isn't it? Let 'em sink or swim.
  5. Maybe this is from your blog, http://offtoafrica.blogspot.com/2008/01/my...ange-couch.html "We sat on the floor fighting with the insensical instructions. (Do you like that word? Insensical? I made it up. It's a mixture of insane and nonsensical. I like it. Goal: insensical to be in dictionary by 2010.)", WannaBeDrummer.
  6. insensical ? perhaps YOU should consult a dictionary. Funny thing, you won't find anything there!
  7. Well, at least one new redundant thread has just been nipped. "Rumors from Detroit, part 2". The axeman better keep his blade sharp!
  8. In Memory of Elizabeth Reed (the good times next to her headstone) - The Allman Brothers
  9. What's that got to do with the price of beans in China? Or the defense in reaction to obnoxious and potentially dangerous behavior? But I will answer your statement. I highly doubt that gameboy.
  10. Some of the posts here are STILL holding onto hope for more music and touring with Plant and the 3 J's. No doubt that will continue here and other threads unless they're nipped in the bud. Let's see how that pans out. Afterall, Robert DID say he had "no intention". Definitive? Not enough for some.
  11. If you were close enough to me and I was so repulsed by your offensive breath, I'd move if I had approached you. If you had approached me, I'd ask YOU to move. If you didn't I'd sock you IN THE NOSE, and you'd not have the change to smell my breath.
  12. So docron, If it IS proven that the microwaves from cells cause harm AND that they could affect others around you, (assuming you use a cellphone), would you continue to use it around others, innocent's be damned? The analogy would seem to me to hold true, as you appear to want to blow smoke in non-smokers faces. Just one on one, I'm not talking about the fact that they are ubiquitous and already ingrained in peoples psyche. But just the bare question, what is you stance?
  13. I knew the child psychology would get some smoker's goat. Looks like it was you. Of course I'm jesting when I talk about ducking out of the microwaves, but at the same time, the sentiment is even if it is harmful, users won't give a damn about those around them. My analogy is just. Say don't, YOU do. Don't jump, YOU leap.
  14. I went to a Mets game there in about '90-'91 early in the season and it was cold and drizzly. But I was warmed of the thought about The Beatles concert inside of Shea in 1965.
  15. The Big Bad World ! It's such an imposition. I'll stay away thanks. I am a rock, I am an island.
  16. Since I've never had a cell phone and never plan on having one, I don't worry about the direct effects. I only think about the "second-hand effects". I make sure I duck when I'm in the middle of a conversation and the microwave tower. I don't think it's cool to impose one's cellphone usage and possible detrimental consequences on others. Of course the masses who do embrace usage will do it anyway, skeptics be damned. It's the same way with smokers.

    Gross Out!

How about a double scoop of mama's milk? PETA proposes that Ben & Jerry's use breast milk in its ice cream WATERBURY, Vt. - Mooove over, Holsteins. PETA wants world-famous Ben & Jerry's Homemade Ice Cream to tap nursing moms, rather than cows, for the milk used in its ice cream. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is asking the ice cream maker to begin using breast milk in its products instead of cow's milk, saying it would reduce the suffering of cows and calves and give ice cream lovers a healthier product. To Ben & Jerry's, the idea is udderly ridiculous. At factory in Waterbury, consumers gave a collective "Eww" to the idea Thursday. "It's kind of creepy," said Jeff Waugh, 42, of Dayton, Ohio. "The (breast) pumps just weren't that much fun. You really do feel like a cow," Jen Wahlbrink, 34, of Phoenix said, cradling her son in her hands. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26892950/wid/11915773?GT1=31037 In her case, she may have been.
  20. The few times I've tuned into American Idol, it seems all of the guys I see perform are gay. What is it with this performance arts show and this crap anyway? If William Hung ain't gay he should be.
  21. Yeah. Not everyone in the world peruses the various Led Zeppelin websites to read the daily rumors of potential tours and the insanity it produces. Those outside the loop need to be prodded every now and then.
