When he had to be had to be held up during the US '77 tour, he was so weak from drugs and not eating.
That's what upset us.
I read somewhere that in 1977 when times were on the stage where Pagey, to interpret a song did not remember well the notes, Plant asked how this song? Plant sang it, and finally something was interpreted. This according to a person who was on tour with them.
This person also commented that the world around the band was quite dark and airtight. He was not allowed to approach the band did not even talk to them, unless it was allowed, no cross words, and do not ask anything other than music.
As someone said here, Pagey not again be the same, time and beyond that, the drugs consumed his talent.
The best part is that this time he is standing, looks much better and I think it has much to do.

I always feel so sorry for him that I could cry. It is horrible what drugs were doing with such talented and handsome man. It is so sad. Everytime I see such pictures I want to hug him

Ten Years Gone,a song written by Plant about a love that got away.
Do you know if the subject of the song ever resurfaced and had any contact with Robert?
Or did she fall into obscurity, a mystery to the masses,even though she was the inspiration behind the song?
this song, is maybe dedicated to Maureen sister's, her name is Shirley, somebody told about, so i think that the Mauren Sister's can be the inspiration behind.
Robert & Shirley dated late 1980's or 1990 earlys... do you remember Jesse Lee Plant?

I have never seen any evidence to suggest Jimmy made the trip to New Orleans on
Tuesday, July 26th. Given they were not scheduled to play the Superdome until Sat,
July 30th, it's possible he elected to spend additional time in California, particularly
once Peter Grant announced the cancellation of several upcoming tours date on the morning of Wed, July 27th.

Tragically, when Plant, Bonham and Cole got to New Orleans, their next stop, Robert found out about his son.
Richard Cole said that Robert went to the room of the hotel to check her, received a telephonic call, she was Maureen; two hours later it went down to the lobby saying this one to Cole, my son died
tragical !

How's it going "danelectro59?" That's exactly what happen! I saw the 23 July 1977 show in Oakland. By the time I got back home to Sacramento and woke up the next day on 24 July 1977, the shit had already hit the fan. And just think, the worse was yet to come. ROCK ON!
