  1. Been watching the White Sox play in Seattle the past few nights. They play "Communication Breakdown" every time Casey Kotchman comes up to bat. Even if I'm in another room, those chords ring out.
  2. I can't believe how many people don't like Black Mountainside! My least favorites are LZ I: Babe I'm Gonna Leave You LZ II: Thank You LZIII: Out on the Tiles Untitled: None, they are all awesome HOTH: No Quarter (You're not the only one MMaharaja, although live versions are much better) PG: Boogie with Stu Presence: Royal Orleans ITTOD: Fool in the Rain
  3. Judging by the artists on the cover they must mean the 500 greatest songs since 1955, then on the back cover they talk about "Rock's Classic Songs". Do they include Madonna, Aretha and Beyonce as rock artists or are they just giving us their opinions? What drivel!
  4. I used to love them. I talked my brother into taking me to see them when I was probably around 12 or 13 years old. My parents would never have let me go to a rock concert otherwise. Funny thing is, my neighbor used to love Zeppelin and whenever he used to blast it, I would blast CTA back at him.
  5. Yes that's the one, I don't know if he ever wore it. I won't make any comment about the birthday suit however.
  6. Spoon on Thursday April 1. Don't know much about them...
  7. You can see one of his suits at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
  8. What kind of tax problems are created by a "scrupulous" manager?
  9. I was listening to the local NPR radio station at work and there was an interview with the singer from the 70's group The Ides of March. I think his name was Jim Peterik. He talked about appearing with Zeppelin in Winnipeg in 1970 and blowing them away. The interviewer, who seemed to be a huge closet Zep fan, asked how that happened. Jim said he didn't know, Zep must have had an off day.

  11. Hi Led Zep Gurl- Are you in the Chicago area? I checked a Borders in Chicago last Thursday - no luck!
  12. I haven't found it yet either. I've got it on order from a local music store. They say it is "temporarily unavailable".
  13. I don't know if this has been discussed before, but does anyone know which songs Jimmy Page wrote lyrics for besides Tangerine?
  14. Thanks i look forward to hearing Your opinion. I'm typing this on an iPod so excuse the spelling. I am in New York, just saw the building on the Cover of physical Graffiti today! Very cool!
  15. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/27/books/review/Moody-t.html I haven't read Wall's book, is it really all about the scandals and very little about the music? If so, I appreciate the reviewers point in the last two paragraphs, but why does he bring up the same old stories again? Is it me or are we becoming more prudish?

    Hot pics of Jimmy

Thanks for posting this picture although I think it deserves a new topic: Craziest clothes ever worn by JPJ.
  17. Thanks Steve and Cerisaye for the quick replies- Unfortunately there seems to be a lot of second-rate material out there.
  18. Juliet, Naked by Nick Hornby
  19. Hi Steve- Do you know anything about a documentary about Led Zeppelin called "Dazed and Confused"?
  20. I heard a caller on the PBS show "Car Talk" say her fussy baby would always stop crying if she played "Communication Breakdown" in the car. She said there was something about the initial chords that mesmerized the kid.
