  1. I'm so jealous, they aren't playing near me! Although I shouldn't be complaining since I did just see EC with Beck at the Garden last Thursday which was fab. I've seen Roger when he toured with Pete as The Who a few years ago and I thought they were absolutely amazing. They were two of the best shows I have ever been to!
  2. lmfao keep cool, all I've been saying here is that Robert's voice has dropped in quality but that he is still good. And it's actually not that all unrealistic because as I've stated before, many singers still have relatively the same voice as they did 30 years ago. I wouldn't expect it to sound exactly the same, absolutely not, but for it to be close to the same level as it was way back when isn't too far fetched.
  3. Woahhh, I wouldn't go that far lol. I think Clapton is better than Hendrix was (also SRV) but not Beck. He's great but not Clapton great. Although he's probably a bit more innovative with his technique but not as skilled as EC.
  4. Aw, I love Levon Just saw him in January and he was fab! Great, rockin' show.
  5. They are fans but, as I said, not huge fans like I am. And they did see the 02 performances and were saying he sounds horrible. Now I thought he sounded pretty good, not like back in the day, but good enough for me to want to go see him.
  6. Oh sorry I was referring to the "better than ever" comment that was posted here. I mean, I don't think the quality is just about hitting notes, his voice just isn't as powerful and dynamic as it once was. I know "not the same" doesn't mean worse but in Robert's case it does lol, in my opinion. I don't like to say it's worse though because it wasn't bad to begin with it's just not as great. I'm shocked I'm the only one here who thinks this lol.
  7. I didn't say you did lol. His voice did change but not for the better, in my opinion. Yes it's been 30 years but there are alot of singers who still sound very similar to how they did back in the day like Paul Rodgers, Steven Tyler, Paul McCartney, Billy Joel. I'm not saying he completely sucks now, his voice has just dropped in quality imo.
  8. It just dropped in quality, therefore it isn't as good.
  9. It's funny because people who aren't huge Zeppelin/Robert fans like I am tell me that his voice is shit now and I argue with them that it's not, that's he's just older and lost alot of his voice which in turn makes me wonder if I'm just biased because I love him so much and maybe his voice really is shit. Then I come here and people are saying that his voice is better than ever lol. Idk, I think it's pretty obvious that he can't sing like he used to, he even says so himself.
  10. Nooo not physically jumping around lol I mean him jumping around with his voice when he's singing haha. It's not just the high notes, his voice just isn't as strong and dynamic as it once was. He's still a good singer just not as powerful.
  11. Well back when he was in Zeppelin he still had his voice lol. Agree to disagree. From the videos I've seen of him nowadays and from when I saw him live, he does seem to do some jumping around at the high parts but other than that he's still got it.
  12. Ah that's right, I forgot about "With a Little Help From My Friends"
  13. Eh, I think he does. Gotta disagree that he sings better now lol I think his voice is pretty shot compared to how he used to sing. It's not like omg horrible, he sounds fine but nothing compared to his old voice. Roger's voice has stayed relatively the same, I believe.
  14. I hate you, not funny I just had a heart attack...*shakes fist*
  15. Yeah, random people can't see what you don't want them to see...
  16. Roger can, for the most part, still hit his notes and sing on key where it seems to me that Plant jumps around alot because he can't hit many of the notes that he used to, in my opinion.
  17. I think he's got more of his voice now than Plant does
  18. I don't know about best but I know that Les Paul is his favorite.

  20. I know he worked with Burt Bacharach, Donovan, Jackie DeShannon, Herman's Hermits, Tom Jones. I'm not really sure what songs but I think for Donovan he worked on Hurdy Gurdy Man and Epistle to Dippy. I think he also worked on Marianne Faithfull's "As Tears Go By" and "I Can't Explain" by The Who.
  21. I was there too and it was a great show!!! Wish I was going again tonight (Oooh, that last video "Outside Woman Blues", 'twas frickin amazing!!!)
  22. Well, I just got to witness one of them in person, Yoko Ono! Wow her random shrieking is really annoying, especially when she was doing it over Eric's guitar lol. Also, Joanna Newsom's voice is REALLY annoying, have a listen:
