  1. I have never seen this variation before in all my years of collecting. Checked a few books and found nothing. I did a quick search on Discogs as well and unless I missed it, I don't see anything on there either.
  2. Led Zeppelin IV is a mid 70s US reissue and the Zep II is a 1977 US reissue. What condition are the records in? What condition are the covers in? Before we have that info it's impossible to give an accurate value. These specific pressings that you have are not hard to find. Based off the pictures alone Led Zep IV no more than $10. The writing on the label automatically decreases the value. Zep II maybe $15-$25. Again, the pictures you provided and minimal info makes it hard to give you an accurate value.
  3. Led Zeppelin - Live in Tokyo, Japan (Sept. 24th, 1971) - UPGRADE/BEST SOUND - YouTube
  4. Absolutely loving this. Been looking forward to this since LZR teased a video a few months ago.
  5. One of my all time favorite shows. Plant is in incredible form. Maybe a top 5 show for him vocally.
  6. Absolutely stunning footage. Must have watched 10 times already. Thanks to everyone involved!
  7. Led Zeppelin - A Tribute To Johnny Kidd And The Pirates (1990, Vinyl) | Discogs Worth around $30 I had this one and a bunch more. Sold it along with some other Zep boots to fund a few big jazz purchases. Only kept a small stack by the end. Regret getting rid of a lot of them. Here's the last picture I could find that shows a good portion of my past Zep collection.
  8. Led Zeppelin - In Through The Out Door (1979, "A" Sleeve Variant, SP - Specialty Pressing, Vinyl) | Discogs I believe this is what you have.
  9. -Discogs -eBay -Your local record stores I am still on the hunt for a LZ1 turquoise pressing! I had a few opportunities to buy a few a couple years ago but turned them down. Kicking myself ever since then. The only OG LZ pressing I own now is the Zep II RL. The rest of the studio albums are the Classic Records 200 gram AAA reissues that came out in the 2000s with the exception of the MoFI copy of LZ II.
  10. Just finishing up the entire Evolution Is Timing box set. Really nice collection of live material. Most of it I've heard or owned on previous bootlegs but was pleased to hear some new surprises to my ears. Again though, this shows what Page could have done for a 50th Anniversary release...
  11. You made a fantastic decision. The Project turntables are quite nice. Use the red cartridge for now and upgrade to the blue after. Let us know if you find the Classic Records reissues. It seems like eBay is usually your best bet but they are getting expensive. Check Discogs daily as well. I will also keep an eye out and reach out to you if I find any.
  12. This is awesome!!! Will be watching this over and over. Thanks!
  13. Got it. Did a bit of research because I wasn't too familiar with that specific model. Since its a P mount turntable, I would recommend going with the Ortofon sereies. Either the OM5 or OM10. I had both of these years ago on a few back up turntables and both sounded great. For an extra $10 I would just go with the OM10. You certainly don't want to spend more on a cartridge than your turntable is worth either. If anyone else has any input please feel free to add to this. Also, I highly recommend purchasing from Music Direct. Super fast shipping. Here are some links below for you. https://www.vinylengine.com/turntable_forum/viewtopic.php?t=23677 https://www.musicdirect.com/phono-cartridges/ortofon-super-om10-mm-phono-cartridge?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=ppc&msclkid=a0dce987042818d026a7b62a483c7d02 https://www.musicdirect.com/phono-cartridges/ortofon-om5e-mm-phono-cartridge
  14. What model Technics do you have? What's your price range? Ortofon makes good affordable cartridges.
  15. I have owned countless different pressings of each album. Over the last few years I have narrowed down my Zep studio discography to strictly one copy each with the exception of Led Zeppelin II. All of the pressings besides Zep II are the Classic Records 200 gram QUIEX SV-P reissues which are significantly better than the new JP reissues and any of the original pressings (IMO). For Zep II I own a VG+ RL and the MoFi. I would definitely give the edge to RL. I also think JP is full of it when he says the new reissues are "the best these albums have ever sounded". Especially when he has the Classic Records reissues and I'm sure a plethora of many other Zep pressings on his record shelf. I would also suggest you upgrade your turntable sooner rather than later. The Crosleys tend to destroy grooves on the records because the quality and tracking force is not up to par. I certainly wouldn't be putting any of the Classic Records 200 gram pressings or rare audiophile pressings in general on those turntables. If you're not keen on upgrading then I would just go with the new reissues which you can find relatively cheap these days or some of the older playable copies.
  16. Well, besides family I would have to say the record stores. So many killer options. I certainly don't miss the winter weather! lol
  17. This is a bit of a head scratcher. I mean the OG is available anytime for $15 or so. I have a minty OG on my shelf. Considering picking this up if its cheap just to compare the sound.
  18. Presence is actually my favorite album. ITTOD may have more variety but Presence is Zep in raw form. It's the only album of theirs that is strictly drums, bass, guitar, and vocals. I remember the first time listening to the whole thing front to back. I knew ALS and NFBM but wasn't familiar with anything else. For Your Life blew my socks off. Immediately became one of my all time favorite tracks. The whole album is just raw and super tight. Also, the album cover is one of my favorite pieces of art as well. I know the whole thing has suck a dark vibe to it but I still love it.
  19. Hey everyone, My name is Cory. I'm 27 years old. Grew up in Michigan and currently living in South Carolina. I actually made this account years and years ago but never did anything with it. I've been a huge Zeppelin fan since I was 12 or so when a couple friends introduced Physical Graffiti to me. Little did I know that those moments we're going to change my life forever. I was a young guitar player at the time and finding my love for Zep helped me elevate my playing just by learning and playing along with what Page was doing. I'm still playing live music to this day with my band and anyone else who is down for an improv jam session! So as my addiction to Zep was growing. I began tracking down memorabilia and bootlegs. I had around 150 Zep bootlegs on vinyl at one point. I remember the first one I found. It was at Melodies and Memories in Detroit. The cover was blank and the labels were blue with a hand written track list. It was a collection of songs from the BBC. I was probably 13 or 14 at the time. Over time, I sold a ton off to fund another addiction of mine which is jazz vinyl. I knew all of the boots were available digitally and most likely better quality so I kept my favorites on vinyl and sold the rest. Usually if I'm listening to Zep on vinyl its my Classic Records 200 gram pressings anyways. I recently bought a new laptop so I was organizing some stuff when I came across a flash drive full of Zep bootlegs. Well, one thing led to another and I am once again down the Zep rabbit hole. Over the last few days I've been spending a lot of my time downloading and listening to Zep shows including the newly released 9/28 Osaka show. Just absolutely incredible. I cant get enough of that show. Its like discovering live Zep all over again! Hopefully, I can contribute some to the awesome conversations on here! Have a great day everyone! -Cory
