The Yankees have some big money long term contracts that they're stuck with. A-Roid and Texieria are both long term for enormous money. At least Jeter is earning his contract this year.

That was a tough loss game but if you notice the Yankees aren't just rolling over the O's like they have in past seasons. Mark Reynolds is a disaster though and I'm not sure what they can do about it.

Rock and Roll Circus (the rolling stones)

There really is no other explanation. I've been trying to find one for forty years and I just can't. -
What's the closest a LZ song came to sound like disco
dazedcat replied to hecube's topic in Led Zeppelin Master Forum
I don't know how it was in the UK but over here disco permeated everything. Mainstream rock artists dabbled with disco beats, black music was overtaken by it pretty much, discos seemed to be everywhere and really, you had to go out of your way to find a rock club. You even had to go out of your way to listen to rock music at times. Mercifully the disco fad faded but for a while you couldn't escape it. -

The Crunge was really their only "dance" tune and like Jahfin said, that was more funk influenced than anything else. Before disco almost destroyed popular music, people used to dance to funky tunes. That Zeppelin single which had D'yer Mak'er as the A side and The Crunge as the B side was pretty unique actually. You might even be able to throw Misty Mountain Hop in there as a dance tune too, even though I'm sure that'll make peoples heads explode here, but people used to dance to that too. -
We probably saw The Song Remains The Same thirty times in theaters way way back in the day. They always had that playing weekly at midnight at this one movie house, we used to go a lot. Rocky Horror was another, but that might be fuel for another thread lol.

Waiting for a friend by The Stones a dis of Zep?
dazedcat replied to Matjaz1's topic in Led Zeppelin Newbies
LOL nice. Sonny Rollins played the tenor sax solo on this and I never gave Zeppelin a thought listening to this tune over the years. I still won't either. -
That was a great pick by the Cowboys, really really great. Maybe Jerry Jones got someone finally who knows what he's doing.
