To continue: Sorry for not being on here since I got my power back, but as you can imagine I had a lot of things to deal with. Throwing out food etc. Things could have been much worse as I've heard in other areas and I feel very fortunate!

Just to let everyone know things are well and I survived Irene. Although, many storms are more severe, what made this one so mad was it's size (larger than Texas) and the longevity of the storm being nearly 24 hours. Lot of damage in my area with house and fallen trees, but nothing to my residence. I lost my power for some 3 1/2 days and finally got it back late Wednesday night.

Thanks Missy. Hope all goes well. Just starting to get the outer rain bands now. No wind yet.
