  1. Paul on his own is a good musician and his solo career was quite interesting between 1970 and 1973.But other acts from the same era, which had a rather similar style were way better than him, such as Supertramp(very very very underrated band) or Elton John(during his collaboration with Bernie Taupin). So as far as British pop music in the 70's is concerned, some artists were really better, and IMO George Harrison and Lennon are included in this list.
  2. I totally agree with your top 3, I think those three(Led Zep, Queen, and Beatles) are the best bands in History.
  3. Neither do we in France, but I think these lovely creatures only exist in Italy...
  4. Caterina Balivo, Italian presenter on the Italian tv (Rai Due). When I saw her on tv, a few years ago I was blown away! Silvio chose them well, he had at least this quality... You can have a look at page 135 of this topic, if you're interested
  5. IMO, Goat's Head Soup is a good album, Coming down again is a great song on this album, Keith was underrated as a singer. He also wrote Angie, Mick has never been really good at writing ballads.
  6. No, don't chicken out, I want to know YOUR opinion
  7. ACDC have played the same song for thirty years, their lack of inventivity is impressive
  8. Jahfin, let's play a game:here is my question: Who is better:Mozart or Lady Gaga? It's like a multiple choice test actually: A-You answer Mozart, and therefore you contradict everything you have said until now B-You answer Lady Gaga (no comment) C- You don't answer(it means you can't decide between Mozart and Lady Gaga...) D- You say they are both different, and you can't compare them( in other words you say that Lady Gaga can be considered to be as talented as Mozart, "it's just a matter of opinion") Good luck!
  9. If I say that Mozart is better than Lady Gaga(and I take this example on purpose), you can't answer:"Well, it's your opinion"
  10. Queen couldn't have existed without the Beatles, granted. But the Stones didn't influence them.
  11. The Stones were not a pop band, moreover Led Zep and Queen could have existed even if the Stones hadn't.
  12. Yes, these are my words, but they show that your theory, according to which everything is a matter of opinion, and that it's impossible to say objectively if an artist is better than another, is a theory which isn not valid.
  13. It means that, according to you, Mozart isn't better than Lady Gaga, and that it' just a matter of opinion.......... Strange way of thinking....
  14. The Stones are a great band, but they were not creative enough, they didn't invent anything, unlike The Beatles, Queen or Led Zeppelin. According to me the Stones didn't take enough risks. I think Led Zep and Queen are the only two bands, whose unknown songs are as good as the most famous ones, that's why they are my favourite bands.
  15. The most innovative of all American bands, and according to me the best of them, and one of the best bands in history. If Jim Morrison hadn't died, they could have gone much further, I think. Thanks to The End, Apocalypse Now became more than a masterpiece, it became THE movie
