  1. On ASOS? Remember A Day, Let There Be More Light, A Saucerful of Secrets & See-Saw.
  2. That's her opinion. It's no more valid than your opinion, my opinion, or anyone else's opinion. That's what I was talking about. We all have our opinions about what bands we like and which ones we don't, but that doesn't make them fact. That's why I tire of threads/polls like this. They are impossible to quantify officially and all they do is breed trouble. Someone says Zep is the greatest thing since oxygen, someone else says "No, _________ is the best band ever", then we have argument after argument.
  3. Motherless Child - Richie Havens
  4. Pop Goes The World - Men Without Hats
  5. Nights On Broadway - The Bee Gees What a great, great song.
  6. ??? Forever Young - Rod Stewart
  7. There's a lot of Bee Gees songs that I love: Nights on Broadway, Too Much Heaven, More Than a Woman, Tragedy, How Deep Is Your Love.....they did some great songs. I don't care if they are disco.
  8. How does that link with Only The Good Die Young?
  9. I have some albums, some magazines, a t-shirt and a few DVDs.
  10. I love Rihanna. She has done some great songs. One of the few artists of the last 10 years that I've really, really liked.
  11. Russian Roulette Rihanna Take a breath, take it deep Calm yourself, he says to me If you play, you play for keeps Take a gun, and count to three I’m sweating now, moving slow No time to think, my turn to go [Chorus -- JustJared.com] And you can see my heart beating You can see it through my chest And I’m terrified but I’m not leaving Know that I must must pass this test So just pull the trigger Say a prayer to yourself He says close your eyes Sometimes it helps And then I get a scary thought That he’s here means he’s never lost (Chorus) As my life flashes before my eyes I’m wondering will I ever see another sunrise? So many won’t get the chance to say goodbye But it’s too late too pick up the value of my life (Chorus)
  12. Only The Good Die Young - Billy Joel
  13. I couldn't describe a Sabbath riff if you paid me - I think I've heard about 15 seconds of one song, and that was because it was featured in music documentary. Seeing as they were two different bands in two different genres, I would imagine their guitar sounds were completely different as well.
  14. IMO, both. I don't think it's the best song they ever did, it's not even the best song on the album! I think overrated implies that the work is not as good as critics/fans say it is, and it has taken on a life of its own, either through popular culture or otherwise. To me, the song fits the bill here. STH has become this anthemic piece and people have latched on to it in ways they more than likely haven't with other songs, and that's great - people will feel however they want about any given piece of music. As for being overplayed, you could say the same about a lot of "classic rock" radio staples, such as Hotel California, Freebird, Money, Do You Feel Like I Do [basically anything by Peter Frampton] and Layla. They're all great songs don't get me wrong, but rock radio has driven them into the ground by playing them over and over and over and over again. I get bored of them easily because the joy and surprise of hearing them on the radio is completely gone.
  15. Excellent, you posted them here! Whenever people ask me what some of my favorite live performances of Floyd were, I always point to those two as examples.

  17. For starters, the weather. It's November 15th and it's 75 degrees outside right now, with nary a cloud in the sky. I love it. It's supposed to be like this tomorrow and Tuesday as well. Lucky, lucky me.
