  1. People that can't take hints. It's aggravating, time-consuming and you begin to hate yourself for constantly repeating everything.
  2. 69 °F / 21 °C Mostly Cloudy Humidity: 93% Dew Point: 67 °F / 19 °C Wind: 4 mph / 6 km/h / 1.5 m/s from the SSE Pressure: 29.97 in / 1015 hPa (Rising) Visibility: 10.0 miles / 16.1 kilometers UV: 0 out of 16 Clouds: Few 4000 ft / 1219 m Scattered Clouds 5000 ft / 1524 m Mostly Cloudy 12000 ft / 3657 m (Above Ground Level)
  3. Don't hotlink and you won't have that problem. Save the photo to your hard drive, upload the photo at Imageshack and put THAT url between the IMG tags.
  4. Chicago acted like a bunch of babies at the end......I counted at least 3 players that got tossed from the game. Completely unprofessional their youth was their downfall.
  5. I love the Stones. They're one of those bands I listen to a lot in spurts. I'll listen to them for a while non-stop and then won't listen to them again months. I just started listening to Let It Bleed again for the first time since probably Christmas.
  6. I would love to go back to the Haight-Ashbury district in 1967. More for the clothes and music than anything else. I love vintage clothes and I'd probably live in the stores. I'd get some peasant skirts and long dresses and some bellbottom jeans.....all shit that would be authentic and NOT vintage, so it wouldn't be expensive like those things are now. Oh yeah and I'd haul back a vintage turntable, Polaroid camera, TV set and radio.
  7. Holy inability to read, Batman! I never said I hated that time period, rather it's one of my favorites. I also never said I prefer war and hate. I would actually prefer it if next time you make a comment about something I've supposedly said, you at least get the content right. What I said was, many many many people mischaracterize it or tend to look at it through rose-colored glasses.
  8. We're all here because Sam allows us to be. This is his house. If he wants to kick someone out, that's his right. If you don't like that, then you find some place else that doesn't ban people for breaking rules or spamming or whatever the infractions are. If you personally don't like it here, I don't know what to tell you.
  9. Don't play obtuse, you know I was born in 1982. I don't have to have been born then.....my parents were alive at the time, they turned 20 at the end of the 60s and 30 at the end of the 70s. I read a shit-ton of books, I watch documentaries, I absorb primary sources. People want to paint the late 60s as some idyllic time full of indiscriminate fucking, LSD and music when it was far, far more than that.
  10. In The Evening, I'm Gonna Crawl, Fool In The Rain.
  11. The 60s/70s were hardly some idyllic utopia. To somehow say that they were the era of "peace and love" is an insult to the hell people had to live through then. Hippies, Woodstock and copious amounts of LSD is not the totality of the 60s. The 70s were not just disco, coke and bellbottoms. The same shit those people had to go through, we have to go through now.
  12. Why do we need a thread devoted to bashing people when it happens in every single thread, no matter what? That's like having a special toilet just for pooping.....it'll happen in any toilet, you don't need a special one.
  13. What do you want to know, specifically? I mean, the best I can tell you is watch the playoffs this season. Pick a series: Chicago/Detroit, Pittsburgh/Carolina. Follow along, make notes of terms you don't understand. Look them up and then you'll go "Oh so THAT'S what that is!". It'll become second-nature. I mean, is there something you know you've seen but don't know how it works?
  14. Wings win. BOOYAH. All we need to do is split in Chi-town and take it home to head back to the Cup Finals.
  15. You have got to be the most boring person alive.
  16. He said he was bisexual. Bisexuals can be married to women. It was later on that he said he was in fact gay, although looking at the way he dressed and the way he made his stage shows, you can't argue that he was hiding his homosexuality from anyone. He just didn't talk about it. Had he been trying to take on the affectation of Robert Plant, very much the straight man's straight man, THEN you could say he was trying to hide his sexuality.
  17. So are a lot of places. Doesn't mean squat if it's financially viable. Which is what Bettman is looking at.
  18. I can't see how someone HASN'T heard of her. She's arguably at this point, more famous than Kelly Clarkson is.
  19. You should read up on Hamilton, it's one of the biggest cities in Ontario. It's no different than a city like Tampa Bay or even Anaheim having a hockey team .
  20. Figure it out. She wasn't asking you to perform quantum physics.
  21. Like hell, dude. The final say comes down to Bettman not the other owners.
  22. I concur. A lot of those are sadly true, though. My dad is turning 60 in a couple months and the only way my mom can get him to clean the gutters is by saying he won't do it because he's too old and afraid he'll fall and break something. Of course they then have a laugh and he goes and cleans the gutters. Problem solved. Spats, quit bitching. You've stated your opinion on the subject of men jokes vs. women jokes, we've read it......I think that's sufficient. You're not saying anything new.
  23. More proof they'll let any butt-reaming moron have a computer.
