RAH and San Francisco 04/27/1969 are two of my top favourites.

The scream Plant let's out towards the end of Rock 'N' Roll at the Providence '73 show. He does something similar in Black Dog, too. It's a great gig for him on the whole but he struggles through RnR as he often did then all of a sudden let's out a wonderful scream.

I enjoy Montreal '75 for what its worth. But obviously wouldn't say no to an upgrade. -
"Dherrrr Jimmy Page couldn't play live very well".... Oftenburg; Hold my damn beer. Seriously, Page is on another fucking level here. Dazed alone is enough to blow one's mind as well as their ears let alone anything else.

Oh great thank you.

Has anyone got a large(er) image of this thumbnail please? I'm not sure I've seen this angle before. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENXqzMhoolo&t=5s Report this post Top Profile Send private message Edit post Reply with quote

What show or live song are you listening to now?

Montreal '75. Always one of my favourite Zep shows. Jimmy is just on this night and Dazed in particular is quite spectacular. -
First night at Knebworth had always been one of my favourites.

Montreal has always been a favourite of mine. I know the AUD recording could be better, but it's still an enjoyable listen. Yea Plant's voice is still in poor shape, but overall I enjoyed this show. Page in particular is in excellent form. Dazed is one of my favourites from the tour and it's like Page is really pushing himself as his playing is fast and fluid here. It's definetly a Jimmy Page show. Kashmir is also very good again even with Plant's voice. The tapers' "Holy fuck" comment when it finished bought a smile to my face. Perfectly encapsulated someone hearing the track for the first time. The tapers' comments throughout are also worth the listen too. Overall a good early show IMO with an enjoyable recording.

Oh yes. It's just as good as a Millard recording IMO. His portion of it is from Stairway onwards, but I honestly think the newly discovered source that runs up until that point is better. A true gem. I'll help you out..

As a whole, overall show 12th March is still my favourite single gig. But of course the whole tour has highlights in most shows you've listed.
-
I'm sure the full release will be available soon so just be patient.

And EV has the cheek to put a "If this gets shared (torrented) then it may endanger future releases' disclaimer on their most recent releases. When they themselves take fan work and press it themselves. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they spend a lot of money getting new sources like Japan '71 etc and that's great because it's only them that's releasing them, but they can't have it both ways.

Isn't Kashmir from the second night quite highly regarded.
-
I'd second that. 1st Night - Knebworth Masters 3 Discs 2nd Night - Return of the Dinosaurs GM
-
Im furthur digging this thread up as i recently got the live at Hammersmith CD and yes, it's fucking tremendous!! Been waiting for an official live Darkness release for years and this features a top notch performance and a great set list. Love this band.

For Knebworth 4th, you want Knebworth Masters (3 Discs) For Knebworth 11th, Return Of The Dinosaurs by GM is very good. -

Yes! One of my favorite Stairway solos. -
Nice. If anyone could offer a non torrent DL please

I know Wendy released a 9CD set earlier this year, too.

Does Scorpio use the fan made (weedwacker) 4 source mix, as that's the best release for the second night AFAIK.
