  1. The scream Plant let's out towards the end of Rock 'N' Roll at the Providence '73 show. He does something similar in Black Dog, too. It's a great gig for him on the whole but he struggles through RnR as he often did then all of a sudden let's out a wonderful scream.

  2. "Dherrrr Jimmy Page couldn't play live very well"....

    Oftenburg; Hold my damn beer.

Seriously, Page is on another fucking level here. Dazed alone is enough to blow one's mind as well as their ears let alone anything else.

  3. Montreal has always been a favourite of mine. I know the AUD recording could be better, but it's still an enjoyable listen.

Yea Plant's voice is still in poor shape, but overall I enjoyed this show.

Page in particular is in excellent form. Dazed is one of my favourites from the tour and it's like Page is really pushing himself as his playing is fast and fluid here. It's definetly a Jimmy Page show.

Kashmir is also very good again even with Plant's voice. The tapers' "Holy fuck" comment when it finished bought a smile to my face. Perfectly encapsulated someone hearing the track for the first time.

The tapers' comments throughout are also worth the listen too.

Overall a good early show IMO with an enjoyable recording.

http://www.rambleonzep.com/dates/info/1975-03-12LongBeachSrc3Mix.htm - that has no d'load link. Going from the main page to the date has a bunch of boots, but the AUD 3 source mix is not linked either. Starship has individual mp3 files. Is there a FLAC source somewhere?

I assume this is an nice improvement worth the effort over the Mike the Mike Winston remaster??? (I have that one)

Oh yes. It's just as good as a Millard recording IMO. His portion of it is from Stairway onwards, but I honestly think the newly discovered source that runs up until that point is better. A true gem. I'll help you out..

Seemingly the folks from Empress Valley are planning to cash in on Night Owl's Labour of Love. I hope they're giving him at least the credits

And EV has the cheek to put a "If this gets shared (torrented) then it may endanger future releases' disclaimer on their most recent releases. When they themselves take fan work and press it themselves. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they spend a lot of money getting new sources like Japan '71 etc and that's great because it's only them that's releasing them, but they can't have it both ways.

  7. Im furthur digging this thread up as i recently got the live at Hammersmith CD and yes, it's fucking tremendous!! Been waiting for an official live Darkness release for years and this features a top notch performance and a great set list.

    Love this band.

If you're strictly talking about STH, I think the LA 77 versions equal if not surpass the version from Earls Court. The version on For Badgeholders Only especially is fantastic and one of my all time favorites. I'm no guitar player, but this solo sounds great to my ears.

Yes! One of my favorite Stairway solos.

Nevermind, just checked and Thirty Years Gone does have the proper TYG.  I'd share Second Night At The Forum with you, but I don't know how!  I got it from Black Beauty and put it straight in my iTunes.  Every song on it is available on Black Beauty, except BB is still not fully up-and-running 😕

Does Scorpio use the fan made (weedwacker) 4 source mix, as that's the best release for the second night AFAIK.
