  1. Thanks all for your input. Boy, I hope I don't get to the point of having to have it removed. I have been feeling better. The attack lasted about 24 hours and I have changed my eating for I don't know for how long. I do fit the 3 Fs, female, over 40 and fat by health standards. I didn't really eat a lot of junk food. I had hit a bad number though about 3 weeks ago and had already started to change things. No alcohol during the week and now none at all indefinitely. No desserts, i e excess sugar. Maybe a cookie or something on the weekend. I have cut out meat since the attack. Drinking lots of juices and teas. I used to take milk thistle a few years ago to support my liver ( I had hepatitis in my 20's) and will probably go back to that. Now I just need a personal trainer to kick my ass off the couch and get some exercise in. I have a hard time getting motivated in that area. I used to walk on my break at work but quite a while back because of the heat. I just have to find a way to work on that.
  2. Haven't been feeling too well this weekend as I am suffering from a self inflicted gall bladder attack. I don't this is is just a woman problem, but it is more common in the ladies if I have read it right on the net. I don't think it is a gall stone or I would be in a lot more pain and have more symptom, just a lot of discomfort in the general area of the gall bladder. The self inflicted part is that on Wednesday before the movie the hubby and I grabbed a quick dinner at the mall. I opted for Panda Express and the orange chicken just called out to me even thought I don't usually get it as it is fried and I try to stay away from overly fried foods. Small twinges that I ignored Thursday and Friday I followed up with a cheeseburger for lunch and pizza for dinner. Too much for my ole body to handle Friday night I could not sleep very well from the discomfort. So now I am pretty much on a liquid and soft diet. Lot's of water, juice (I read that apple was the best) and teas. Had potato soup for dinner last night. Probably opt for oatmeal this morning instead of the usual sausage and eggs. Anybody else get this and how do you treat it?
  3. Happy Birthday Virginia..have a great day. Happy Belated Birthday to Chillumpuffer. October seems to be prolific with birthdays.
  4. I really don't think you will be disappointed at all. Most reviews I have read from those that have seen him for the first time express that "blown away" feeling. I know I was. Joe has spent his life studying the styles of Clapton, Page, Hendrix, Trower et all, and has honed his craft to be one of the best, IMHO.
  5. Salmon with dill sauce, rice pilaf and green beans. Oh,and a glass of pinot grigio.
  6. He's exiting the capsule. Ready to jump. Holy Moly.....
  7. Live Space Jump. Felix Baumgarner is now at 23 miles and will be jumping soon.
  8. Strider.....I hope you didn't get rained on.
  9. Got one of Joe's earlier cds for my birthday, So It's Like That. I really like it. Takin' the Hit.
  10. Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian brothers and sisters.
  11. Wait a minute....I have to admit that I made a mistake. Since I don't actually remember the day of my birth I looked up my birth certificate this morning just to verify the time. It seems I was born at 2:19 am. So I guess I am the elder one here. Ohh right. We both were at Cal Jam I. I had forgot about that one. I was remembering the Deep Purple concert at Long Beach Arena. My daughter got me some of those tortilla bowl pans so we made some flour tortilla bowls sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar, filled with vanilla bean ice cream, fresh strawberries, chocolate sauce and chopped walnuts. Happy Birthday to Ledded1.
  12. Wow....thanks everyone for the warm birthday wishes...and from around the world too. Makes me feel special today. Looking at 55 as reaching the speed limit is a better way of looking at the number. I haven't been looking forward to it. But like it or not it's here and not so bad. But you know, I can't drive 55. Of all the places on the net, coming here is the place I like the best. Badgeholder.....what time of the day were you born? Just wondering who is older. I think I was born at 9 in the evening. I think I read somewhere we shared a Deep Purple concert back in 75, unbeknownst to each other at the time though. Here's a little birthday ditty for you.
  13. I am so sorry for your loss. Stay close to family and friends. Re live the good times and memories. Yes Led Zeppelin is great. Good music and good friends here. Take care.
  14. Happy Birthday to you Badgeholder. 1957 was a great year for birthdays and cars.
  15. A very to a special lady of the forum. Have a great day Deborah J.
  16. O...M.....G......this is so good on many levels for me. Deep Purple was one of my favorite bands of the 70's and saw them 2 times. Lazy is one of their great songs that is listened to over and over. Joe B is my favorite guitarist that is out there right now, and anyone who knows me knows how much I love Joe and his music. That intro by Arlan was awesome and Jon would be smiling down on this tribute. Jimmy has a great voice that delivers impact. Pagemeister....I just noticed you didn't give Anton Fig credit on drums. Anton, Michael and Brad are great and the whole song to me does justice to the orginal. I love, love, love this.
  17. Thanks for that. Nice to know the stories behind the story.
  18. Went to the sand drag races today. My brother in law won his 3rd straight title in pro two sand drag racing.

  20. This is such a tragedy. My thoughts to you and her family. A tough experience to get through for all who are involved.
