  1. Mr Photogenic can also be funny at times
  2. A Day In Life -The Beatles
  3. I also like these dreamy, "soft" photos. In later years their lifestyle starts to show, and while continuing to be utterly droolable I still prefer the older pictures, preferably off-stage. This thread is fun entertainment, even if I am here for the music I ain't blind ;-)
  4. Hi girls. Been secretly admiring the photos here and thought I'd share my favorite. In my eyes he has been gorgeous for all these years, radiating the inner quality of creativity and curiosity. But the pure fact is that he was exceptionally hot in the early 70's.
  5. Song to the Siren - Tim Buckley. Robert Plant has covered this one quite nicely too.
  6. A Finnish band some of you might know, Sonata Arctica
  7. Jake Clemons from Bruce's band is soon touring Europe, performing in the livingrooms of some lucky fans. My friend is one of them, so I get to meet this guy at their house. Brilliant :-)
  8. Right now I am listening to Crosby, Stills and Nash, "Wooden Ships"
  9. Strider, I am deeply impressed with your knowledge of Sibelius. I love his works too and have both been singing and playing his compositions for years. You should definitely check out Einojuhani Rautavaara, my favorite Finnish composer. Listen to Angel of Light for example. I usually don't listen to music while I am writing but his works have been a great inspiration to me. I like the melancholy of Russian composers, Tschaikovsky is adorable and indeed had a tragic life. His compositions for ballet are beautiful.
  10. I find myself returning to RAH 1970 again. Excellent show and in my opinion band's finest years are 1970-71
  11. I'm going to see friends for lunch, then go to buy a couple of beers and heat up the sauna, sit there and talk/ or enjoy the silence (we Finns are very good in being comfortable silent!) and then we'll probably play some piano and guitar and watch old stand up-dvd's until it's morning.
  12. I think he has aged well and with grace. He just turned 66, how could he possibly look like he did 30, 40 years ago? Oh and I do like to look at the photos of him, especially from the early 70's (my favorite look is the one with the beard, 1970). I once read a very wise story somewhere: "It's not what you own or how you look, it's all about the person you have become". By looking and listening to Robert he is still very curious about world and music, has the energy to perform and to find new ways of being creative. That's what makes him beautiful in my eyes.
