  1. I've seen Nowhere Boy and it's a really good film, much better than I was expecting.
  2. Happy Birthday John. You legacy and genius will never be forgetton.
  3. That's great Kiwi, well done for supporting such a good cause! Giving makes you feel good doesn't it? I've just put out a huge bag of unwanted clothes for the Salvation Army to collect for homeless people.
  4. No that doesn't surprise me at all Kiwi, because I'm exactly the same! I was watching an episode of the Flintstones the other day and thinking this is too good for kids! I even have a few DVDs of my favourite kids shows when I child for when my 3 year-old nephew comes to visit - I need to something to keep him (and me!) entertained. Of course I never watch them on my own! I also love Pixar films. I had a massive sulk in the summer when my partner refused to take me to see Toy Story 3! Now I'm patiently waiting for the DVD to come out! This is one of my favourite songs from a film. You've got love Randy Newman!
  5. That's such a great video, I've never seen it before, thank you for posting it. It's made me smile more than anything else today!
  6. Last week I bought the Beatles Stereo Remastered Boxset as a birthday treat to myself! I've listened to a few of my favourite albums and they sound great!
  7. Kiwi I used to watch the Pink Panther all the time when I was a kid, that one really took me back, thanks for posting it. I think deep-down you and I are really just big kids. This was one of my favourite theme songs (and still is!). I loved Miss Piggy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9THwnQg-vEw&feature=related
  8. I voted Houses of the Holy. I love the representation of innocence and mysticism. I have a poster of that album cover on my office wall and I never tire of looking at it.
  9. Lovely painting by your grandmother, it's great that she's still painting at that age! I expect you really treasure it. I've been looking through all the art on here and have been totally blown away by the talent on display! Please keeping posting your artwork everyone.
  10. Kiwi that's one cool ringtone! I love the Beatles mix, I can see why you want to keep it, and it'll soon be Christmas again anyway. There's Christmas paraphernalia in the shops everywhere here already! This one takes me back to childhood birthday parties. For the record I never did the dance, I just quietly moved across to the other side of the room and pretended I wasn't there! I had forgottten how awful it is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeswZaReE0I
  11. Kiwi_Zep_Fan87 this one's especially for you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ouDvLgaX9s
  12. Thank you to everyone who's wished me happy birthday today, it really means a lot to me:) I've had a relaxing day listening to some music (and eating birthday cake!). I'm looking forward to meal out tonight now. I'm going out tomorrow to the shops to spend the money I've had for my birthday (it's not raining tomorrow!).

  13. Thank you Kiwi. It's a miserable day here, it's dark and pouring rain. But I'm listening to some Led Zep to cheer myself up! I've had some great presents, and my partner taking me out for a meal later so I get a night off from cooking!

  14. Thank you. I was hoping to have Jimmy Page's book for my birthday, but we've all got to wait another two weeks at least. Very frustrating!

  15. Wow, Auckland Uni must have a big Zeppelin fan who is charge of buying books for the library, or maybe you have a music department that teaches classic rock, that woud be pretty cool! There aren't any decent music books in my university library, despite us having a big music department. The library's latest musical addition is a DVD of the Corrs live!
  16. Actually Kiwi and I are both women not blokes! Anyway the sentiment was a nice thought.
  17. I think this has to be my favourite album by Robert, some lovely songs with some great lyrics.
  18. Kiwi don't let him hurt your feelings, it's not worth it. For the record I can tell you that I've been in lots of university libraries and not once seen a book on Zeppelin. I just wish my university library had at least one book (but then I already own most of them! ). The Mick Wall book is really good read, it's mainly focused on the music which makes a refreshing change. Happy reading!
  19. It's so cold, 'leaves are falling all around', autumn must be on its way!

It's supposed to be Spring here in New Zealand, although it sure doesn't feel like it though! It feels more like a very rainy winter with a lot of wind!

Well, i feel like a roasted chicken here..."winter" here is gone, i just hope we have a little bit of christmas wind...

Thanks to you and Aeonblue for your kind comments on my photos. :)

  20. No, of course not. You look really happy. Where was that picture taken? I have that same poster on the wall in my office.
  21. We're having a very wet summer here in the UK. It's rained nearly everyday for the past month!

  22. I'm also in the north, in Keele near Newcastle-under-Lyme, I'm originally from Warwickshire though.
  23. Watching BBC 2 last night and they were advertising a history programme about the Normans in England and the Battle of Evermore was playing in the background. Kind of cool really. I've noticed the BBC like to use Zeppelin tunes in their adverts. Last year, for a period drama called Larkrise to Candleford they used the riff from Misty Mountain Hop. It was quite an unusual combination.
