  1. I absolutely agree that Led Zeppelin was one of those fringe bands in the late 60's and early 70's that planted the seeds for crop of Heavy Metal. "Whole Lotta Love" and "Communication Breakdown" are songs that come to mind for me, along with the likes of "In a Gadda Da Vida" "Helter Skelter" "Revolution" "The Green Manalishi" "I Can See For Miles".............. Jimi Hendrix has a whole branch of the family tree of heavy metal as well, with Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and The Who. And bands like The Beatles had a few very important twigs and leafs as well. I love tracing
  2. I've always felt "Dark Side of the Moon" was one of the most fluid albums I've ever heard. It flows like water, even if you had to flip from side A to side B.
  3. Is there any song/band that allows you to, well, "Turn off you're mind, relax and float down stream", if you will? For me, the infamous back half of "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" by the Beatles has always made me feel glazed over and sort of unaware of everything around me. That repeating guitar has a way of putting me into a zombie-like state, unless I keep my mind completely focused. I've heard it maybe 100's of times, but the end sneaks up on me 50% of the time, even with the white noise that builds and builds as a hint of when it's reached its conclusion.
  4. Alright, I'm pretty sure this works by going through the alphabet....? Octopus's Garden by The Beatles
  5. Hello Everyone I'll admit Led Zeppelin is not my favorite band, but of the many music forums I've been scouting, this seems like the one I'll fit in the best. I'm a Beatles fan first and foremost, but Led Zeppelin is probably my favorite band from the 70's. My music taste is limited to the 60's and 70's mostly, but just about anything from then has my interest in some way. I'm not gonna get into my age, location and personal information just yet. Once I'm more established, I'll say more about my self. I've had some bad experiences on internet forums so I hope this one goes a lot bett
