  1. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that he can't play well anymore. He either is suffering from tendonitis and/or arthritis, that plus a lack of practice, he's just pretty much done. I expect some more "vault" releases, but nothing else. His playing and creating days are done.
  2. C/P kicks ass I don't care what anybody says.

  4. Hey Dudes, I just released a new CD of mostly all original acoustic instrumentals. Some solo, others with dobro, harmonica, a really nice mix of styles. From Blues to Country Blues, Ragtime, Rock, New Age, it's basically everything I like to play and I think you'll really like it. Think Tommy Emmanuel, Chet Atkins, Jimmy (of course!) Rev Gary Davis, Tony Rice, etc. Acoustic guitar Nirvana, I hope! There's one track on there called Blue Ridge Dreamer whcih is very, very Zep-esque. You'll know it when you hear it! It's available on iTunes and also CD Baby. http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/ericcongdon http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/eric-congdon/id496074738?ign-mpt=uo%3D4 Thanks guys. Eric
  5. In informal written correspondence, one often finds the number singularly at the head of a letter and in the form "93 93/93" at the end. In this case, the initial "93" stands in for "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law," and "93/93" stands for "Love is the law, love under will."
  6. Yeah I heard Dreaming the other day on Deep Tracks. What a great song and great playing by Jimmy. Wish they would've done more stuff like that, honestly. A very interesting song.
  7. It's possible, and I have evidence to back this up. 1. First of all, and this will ruffle feathers here, but Jimmy lies. All the time. Take what he says about recordings, amps, etc, with a grain of salt, because he says what he WANTS you to believe. 2. Here is my evidence. Studio outtakes from the Outrider sessions surfaced some time ago, and there were three complete takes of Prison Blues. Jimmy made it VERY clear in interviews at the time that that song was "Live in the studio, one take". Lies, lies, lies. Prison Blues is a mega splice job of Jimmy taking the best bits from each take and piecing together what you hear on the album. 3. Another bit of evidence (and this one hurt me). Outtakes from mean Business by the Firm surfaced, and Jimmy's epic spine chilling solo from Live in Peace, again, cobbled together from numerous takes to make the fluid masterpiece that you hear on the CD. Jimmy is truly brilliant at editing stuff together, just look at TSRTS sounddtrack. There is at least some possibility to this claim. 3.
  8. That show is a pure joy, with Jimmy at his technical peak, breathtaking really. Glad they played there and doubly glad someone taped it!
  9. How much did Zep contribute to the making of Monty Python's Holy Grail? Do they still get residuals? Always wondered about that, seems like it was probably a great investment for them!
  10. Why were the France dates cancelled off the 80 Tour itinerary?
  11. If Robert had sung on C/P, it would be known as the Second Coming. The guitar on that album is Page's best post Zep work bar none.
  12. I don't know if this is a mystery per se, but what is that absolute last known photograph ever taken of Bonzo while he was alive? I've never seen a post 80 Tour photo of him, there must be one somewhere.
  13. The lyrics if taken are somewhat insulting and desultory taken in that context. Was Robert not pleased about something regarding his "Only One"?
  14. Was just listening to The Only One from Outrider, great track and I thin a good indicator of what Zep would've sounded like in the 80's, but I digress. I've often thought about the meaning of the lyrics, as if Robert is telling him something. Has this song's meaning ever been explained by Robert or Jimmy?
  15. Why was there such a long delay between Knebworth and the 80 Tour? Wasn't there talk of additional UK shows towards the end of 79? I would think that smaller scale UK shows would have fit in with Roberts desire not to be away from his family, but nothing materialised. Was there discord in the band after the Knebworth (perceived) debacle?
  16. He smoked at the P&P show in 95 that I saw. Thanks as always. Next mystery question: I read in one book, that when Bonzo jammed with Macca during the Rockestra sessions, Bonzo asked Macca about drumming for him. Any truth to that story?
  17. How come Jimmy started smoking onstage in 1977? He had never smoked onstage before 77.
  18. Is there a "timeline" of events for the tragic days post Bonzo's death? From Sept 25th thru Dec 4th?
  19. What details and info do we know for sure about the "mystery surgery" Plant had on his vocal chords after the 73 Tour? I've only read one interview with Plant where he touches on it briefly. Do we know what was actually done? He never gets asked about this in interviews, but I would think losing his voice at such a young age must've been very disheartening to him.
  20. The Pontiac footage is out there in the hands of the top collectors for sure. It is only a matter of time, so we all just have to be patient.
  21. The Dragon suits were designed by an LA designer named CoCo.
