Hyde always wore the most amazing Classic Rock shirts on the show. But his Zeppelin ones always stood out. For real though, I would love to have a closet full of some of the shirts he wore on the show. Great show. Great shirt. Great band.

Love seeing a thread about that part of the song. It's always been my favorite part of the song. It shows how creative Page could be. Even in the state he was in during that period. So much energy and noise. I always turn the song up, and especially before that part of the song.

Coda ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The toughest part of making this list was ordering numbers 4-7. I like all those albums a lot. Having the debut title be #7 looks odd, but it's a testament to just how much better they'd get, in my opinion. This is not an easy thing for me to do outside of #1....and possibly #2. After that, it was almost painful for me. LOL! It's also kind of cool and Interesting to see all the above posts that have PG as their favorite as well.

"Dancing Days" was on 97.9 The Loop (Chicago) as I drove to work today. Good song to pep me up a little.

I'm not totally well-versed in what could be considered "Classical Music", but I have fallen in love with both of these songs, and both of the composers. Some really good stuff. And for both of these, they are one song plucked from an entire suite. They're both my personal favorite pieces from their respective suites. Out of the ones you listed, I would choose "SIBLY", but I have a couple personal favorite Zep song endings that weren't on the list, and caused me to vote for "Other" on your list: The Lemon Song Over the Hills and Far Away (personal fav) When the Levee Breaks Great list though.

"What Is and What Should Never Be" was on the radio on my way to work this afternoon. It was on 97.1 'The Drive' here in the Chicagoland area. It's extra awesome to me because it's my favorite song off of Zep II.

Someone was telling me about how they're "over the hill" when it comes to their baseball playing abilities. I almost instantly belted out: "....and far away." He had no idea what I was saying, but it didn't matter. It was satisfying enough for me.

I love both bands, but I have always felt that Zeppelin was a more well-rounded band. Their music branched out more. I love a lot of The Who's lyrics and sound (especially live) though. Led Zeppelin will always be the standard by which all bands will be measured. I guess I have a bias. I do know that I will always love both, and continue to listen to both.

I always thought the song was really good, and used to think that it deserved more mention. But then I came on this site, and realized that the song is more loved and appreciated by people who listen to all of their music. "Down by the Seaside" will always make me feel like I need to ust sit on a boat by the water.

Led Zeppelin?!?! Sadly, you have been wrong all these years. I hope he wasn't too hard on you when (hopefully) you found out it was Aerosmith and ONLY Aerosmith (mainly Steven Tyler) who wrote and played the original "Dream On."

That's a perfect way to describe how I feel when I listen to Rain Song. It's something no other Zeppelin song gives me. Well said sir.

Does anybody have any good locations for used record stores anywhere in the Chicago area? I'd love to check them out if they're out there.

I am still not 100% sure how I feel about the album. Mick Wall wrote less than nice things in his book about it. I know several others have as well, but I enjoy the album for the most part. Is it my favorite from Zeppelin? No. But it has a lot of bright spots. ITTOD is a weird album to try and define. But like Led Zeppelin themselves, it's not something that can be defined.

Other than the editing of some of Robert's talking to the crowd, I have started to love the performance more and more with each viewing and listen. It took a while for me to fully love the performance 100% when it first happened when I was watching all the bootlegs, and YouTube videos of the concert. As time has gone on, I have warmed up to the whole performance completely. I even have my "favorites" from it now and everything. I am so happy I ordered the Deuxe Edition. It was worth every penny in my opinion.

It's always hard to participate in a "best of" poll in regards to ANYTHING Led Zeppelin related. And yes, I noticed how the albums all had good openers. It was a big part of the reason I decided to make this poll.
