  1. Welcome! Hope to see you around the forum. :-)

  2. Agreed. There is no criteria for being a Zeppelin fan or a "true" Zep fan (whatever that is). Why do people always feel the need to tell others on here how they should be a fan of something?
  3. I voted for two of them. "Hats Off to (Roy) Harper" and "The Crunge." Mainly because they have been my two least favorite songs from Zeppelin for a long time. I don't love all the other choices, but some of them I like. For example: "Fool in the Rain" and "D'yer Mak'er." But of course this poll is a matter of opinion.
  4. You'd better believe it. Chicago is well represented now. :-) You live in the area too?

  5. I've always found "Love Reign O'er Me" to be a powerful song. I love the varying emotions and the realness in the way Daltrey sings the song. My all-time favorite track from The Who. Some of my favorite rock and roll lyrics ever, too. I recommend it to anyone who asks about them.
  6. A great band! Lots of catchy tunes and very easy to listen to. I often times find myself in the mood to listen to them. Love jamming out to "Dream Police" in my car. Oh, the looks i get!
  7. You're welcome! :-D

  8. Rush is such a great band. I just saw them this past Tuesday, April 12th in Chicago for the "Time Machine Tour." It was my second time seeing and hopefully not the last. I love this band and they are fantastic live. Their music is complicated, fun, artistic, beautiful, and hard, all at the same time. Just watch a live clip or live DVD and my point will be made. I got into them about 8-9 years ago. I heard a song called "Fly By Night" and I knew I had to hear more from whatever bands song it was. I now have all their studio albums on my MP3 and love to listen to them. I have a live CD and three live DVD's. Rush is truly timeless. My favorite thing about them is their ability to create an instrumental song. No rock band may be able to match them in that department. YYZ, La Villa Strangiato, Leave That Thing Alone, Hope, Malignant Narcissism, etc. It just shows the mastery they have over their instrument(s). My five favorite albums from them would have to be: 1. Moving Pictures 2. Fly By Night 3. Grace Under Pressure 4. 2112 5. Power Windows
  9. "YYZ" by Rush. All day!! Not that there's anything wrong with that (gotta add that Seinfeld reference in there). GREAT SONG!!!
  10. I heard "All My Love" this morning on the way to work on 97.9 The Loop here in Chicago.
  11. I voted for "In Through The Out Door." Mostly because I loved the fact that you could get 1 of the 6 different sleeves and it all represented a different view point of someone at the bar in the picture. The brown paper bag was/is kinda cool too. I love PG and HOTH's covers too but I have always loved the idea and creativeness behind ITTOD's.
  12. Why thank you. I appreciate it. Hope to see you around the boards. :-)

  13. Cheers to you as well!

  14. I couldn't agree more with this. It may not be my favorite opening song but it does fit HOTH as the opener.
  15. Hello there. Thanks for the post. And I am glad you like my posts. I enjoyed your comment on my post so I figured I would give it and you a little shout out.Yep, I will see you 'round the boards. Thanks for the wall post again.

    Scott. :-)

  16. What's everyone's favorite album opener and why? Maybe it's because of these songs is your personal favorite from the band or you just like the way it ties in with the rest of the album. Or maybe you just like one of these the most. For me, I chose "Black Dog" because I love the tone it sets for the rest of IV. It may not be my favorite of the nine songs in the poll, but I always hear it and know that the rest of the album to follow is going to be amazing. I just love this song, but I love it even more as an album opener. Please share with me your pick and reason(s).
  17. Can't go wrong with the lyrics to Tangerine. I love those lyrics more and more with each listen.
  18. I think it's a real harmonica. I just know that Plant was very good at playing them and that they would want the most authentic sounding music possible. Of course, that's just my ear and I could be wrong.
  19. Zooey Deschenel Jessica Alba Stacy Keibler These are the three I just love right now! :-)
  20. I know it's way late, but thanks for the B-Day wishes on Sep 12th.
