I wonder how the league is going to try and "enforce" the new tackling ban? And, I also wonder why they made a new rule to further eliminate the purpose of playing defense, but maybe I already know the answer to that.
If I were Charles Barkley, I would probably say that the league is softer than tissue paper....
The way it is going, my autumn Sundays will become a lot more free. I already watch record-low levels of baseball and basketball...I haven't watched a full Lakers game in two years. If the NFL wants to head down the flag-football road, it will be very easy for me to cut the cord on them, too.

One sign you're getting old: Memorials. I have been to several in the past few months and now I have two in April to attend.

R.I.P. long-time character actor M. Emmet Walsh, 88. The 'M' was for Michael. So memorable in "Blood Simple" and "Blade Runner".

These opening Dodger games in Korea are messing with my sleep schedule. I could do without the K-Pop interludes.
And then, after these two official opening games, the Dodgers and Padres fly back to the U.S. for more spring training games. As PC noted, another Rob Manfred fuck up.

After binging on 1973 Zeppelin last year for the 50th anniversaries of "Houses of the Holy" and the 1973 tours, and ahead of the 50th anniversary of "Physical Graffiti" and ensuing tour next year, I am taking a break from Led Zeppelin this year. Just as there was nothing from Led Zeppelin in 1974, I'll spend 2024 in Led Zeppelin silence.
It'll be the calm before the storm, so-to-speak.

I'm glad my new glasses are arriving well in advance of this. I would love to spot a planet or two....

Neither of you are anywhere close to the Zone of Totality, so I doubt you need glasses. Only around 47 million Americans will see the Total Eclipse. So don't fall for the hysteria about stocking up on batteries and water and toilet paper that the media foists on the gullible public time and time again.

I think it was John Madden or Bill Parcells who said "If you have two quarterbacks you have none." It'll be interesting to see what goes on with the Pittsburgh Steelers this season, who now have two seemingly broken quarterbacks in Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.

Getting emotional over a Tom Petty song was definitely not something I ever thought I'd be doing, but there we are.
...but I'm not complaining either.
"Wake Up Time" gets me every time.

My favourite song on the new Smile album. Can't wait to see them perform it in concert.

Strangers in the Night (which my Amazon Music spells as 'Strangered' for some reason)
That is because the song is called "Strangered in the Night". It is on his debut album. Look at the album sleeve and the disc credits.

Hahaha. Angels fans lose their mind when Mike Trout hits the first home run of the 2024 season. Only for reality to hit as the Orioles start clobbering them...going up 5-1 by the second inning and 11-1 after the 7th inning. Angels in typical mid-season form.
