  1. Wow. Buffalo @ Miami. Two teams that perennially screw me over on my picks. So whichever team I choose will naturally lose, haha. Hmmm, I like dolphins more than buffaloes so I guess I'll go with Paul's Fins. Miami has cuter cheerleaders, too.
  2. You'll have to excuse my tardiness...I'm in the middle of a kiler stretch of work and shows. I'm so sleep-deprived I don't know if I'm coming or going. But here are some photos of the event Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at The Grove Barnes & Noble in Hollywood. I was around the hundredth person in line of 250. I got some great face time with Jimmy. Full details to come when I get a chance. No photos were allowed past a certain point in the line.
  3. The first people in line got here at 7pm last night. I actually got here a couple hours later than I wanted to...I fell asleep after doing the football pool numbers haha.
  4. Walter and paul: I don't have Seattle's schedule handy at the moment but if memory serves, their last five games of the season are all against division foes. So Arizona, Seattle, and San Francisco will have a nice little pennant stretch-drive battle.
  5. Sorry about that. It's been corrected.
  6. Week 11 Schedule Thursday Nov. 13 Buffalo @ Miami Sunday Nov. 16 Minnesota @ Chicago Houston @ Cleveland Seattle @ Kansas City Atlanta @ Carolina Cincinnati @ New Orleans Tampa Bay @ Washington Denver @ St. Louis San Francisco @ NY Giants Oakland @ San Diego Philadelphia @ Green Bay Detroit @ Arizona New England @ Indianapolis Monday Nov. 17 Pittsburgh @ Tennessee
  7. Thanks Walter, for the John Butler Trio explanation. I do remember us talking about them earlier. My mind still thinks James Brown first when seeing the intitials JB, though.
  8. You do know the Rams lost, right? The Cardinals beat them like a drum. Buffalo wishes they had a quarterback like Carson Palmer. They'd be dancing in the streets. Hell, they could use Sanchez. Added to the FRAUD list: Buffalo Bills. I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but you can't lose the games they do the way they do and be considered a valid playoff contender. Maybe next year...which is the common refrain in those parts. Chicago Bears: Toast. Road kill. Bums. Another city where "wait 'til next year" is heard often...I think it is a Chicagoans birthright. Cincinnati Bungholes. Just another Marvin Lewis pratfall waiting to happen. Pittsburgh Stumblebees. Actually, I might have already had them as frauds...but in case I didn't, this past week's loss to the J-E-T-S confirms my worst suspicions about Pittsburgh's inability to be trusted. On the bubble: New Orleans, Detroit, San Francisco, Dallas, Philadelphia. The jury is still out on these teams, in my opinion. They could get it together or it could all fall apart like a house of cards. The injury that may change EVERYTHING in the NFC: Carson Palmer. The Arizona Cardinals were flying high with the best record in the NFC at 8-1 after Sunday's win over the Rams. But now that Palmer is out for the year, who knows what happens to the Cardinals the rest of the season. Can they maintain or will they go on a two- or three-game losing streak? As it stands right now, here are the only teams that I consider "ready for prime time": AFC: New England, Denver, Indianapolis. NFC: Green Bay, Seattle.
  9. While still trying to figure out how the Stumblebees loss to the Jets, let's put Week 10 to bed as the Iggles slaughter jabe's Scamolinas. in_the_evening and Walter tie for the win this week...in_the_evening's first weekly win of the season! 10. Oh. My. Dios. The Lakers finally won a game! Of course it was against the pathetic Hornets...um, Bobcats or Jordanaires or whatever.
  11. Thank you Vixen. So #245? Was that somewhere around the middle of the line? I'll let you know what my number is when it happens...the L.A. date is still a couple days away.
  12. Good job Hannah, getting in to Jimmy's book event! What # in line were you? Is that a Led Zeppelin picture disc you're holding...did he sign it for you? Who took the photo?
  13. Let's go Chuck! Don't drop the ball...get your picks in!
  14. Another week of pissing in the wind... Thursday Nov. 6 Bungholes (LOSERS) Sunday Nov. 9 Buffalo Wide Rights Detroit Hock City New Orleans Brees Pittsburgh Bumblebees SADlanta Dallas Star$ Baltimore Blackbirds Denver Orange Crush Arizona Redbirds Seattle Greenbirds Green Bay Frozen Tundra Monday Nov. 10 Philadelphia
  15. Sweet menu! One question: where's the hot dog on a stick?
  16. Two of the best music "documentaries" I have seen in the past year...or ever! Engrossing and illuminating musings on the creative process and the dangers inherent in that process. One (Nick Cave) is a survivor...the other (Rowland S. Howard) sadly succumbed. Coincidentally, the two subjects are linked both musically and geographically...both being in the band The Birthday Party and from Australia. And when you see the Nick Cave one you'll understand why I put the word 'documentaries' in quotations. The Nick Cave one: "20,000 Days On Earth" The Rowland S. Howard one: "Autoluminescent"
  17. Antonio Brown or Big Ben aren't hurt are they?
  18. Perhaps. While many things are worse today than they used to be, one thing that is better today than in the old days is marijuana. The pot you get today is more potent and easier, cheaper, and thanks to medicinal pot laws, safer to acquire than in the '70s.
  19. Ladies and gentlemen, the world's worst guitar player...
  20. That's the $64,000 question! Or, in the Lakers case...the $48,500,000 question.
  21. ^^^ Don't forget Virginia @ FSU...could be a trap game for FSU.
