  1. Good! I love it when the Braves get knocked out...and take that stupid tomahawk chop with them. It'll be great if Pittsburgh can knock out the Cardinals too. Get rid of St. Louis and Sadlanta in one fell swoop. Risky for the Dodgers starting Kershaw on short rest, though. May mean he won't be available to start Game 1 of NLCS.
  2. ^^^ Your AFC West theory worked. I wonder if the late start also helped? I took San Diego because coming into the game, the Chargers were 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games at Oakland. Pryor played pretty well, it seems. Raiders still too up and down...a work in progress. It's Denver and New Orleans right now.
  3. Rick, the 'RIGHT' team is the one that wins. There's no excuses in football. We deal with our losses and move on. Anybody with an eye could see that Denver win coming. Sure, Dallas was going to play better than they did in San Diego and put up 30-40 points at home. The issue was their defense...would they be able to put any pressure on Manning and slow Denver's offensive Juggernaut? Most people thought not and, true to form, Denver won a point-a-minute score-a-thon. Now, the spread everyone has been anticipating: Denver vs. Jax! 28 POINTS! Yes, it is the highest spread I have ever seen too, Rick. It's like an NCAA spread. It's definitely the highest spread since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger. But according to the stats, it only TIES for the highest all-time. In 1966 the Baltimore Colts were also favoured by 28 points over the then expansion team Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons covered.
  4. "GRAVITY" = MIND BLOWN. That's all I'm going to say about it for now. See it before someone spoils it by telling you too much about the movie. See it on the biggest screen in your town. I'm going to see it again...this time in 3D, as for once, the 3D looks like it is warranted and effective. Incredible.
  5. Hooray Who Dats! I picked them in my pool!
  6. He is bald and he is wearing a tie. Crowley just hit the weslgarlic daily-double!
  7. After spending an evening with the nefarious Kim Fowley, today it's Burlesque dancers with their pets. Or, as a girl at work put it...Pussies with Pooches. Oh, and I'm wearing lots of pink today.
  8. Had brunch while watching football. Omelette with mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, jalapeno and poblano peppers, spinach, and olives. Spinach, cranberry and almond salad on the side. Mimosas and water.
  9. I blame your butterfingered receivers and bumbling kicker more than Tannehille. I mean, I counted at least two or three drops on that last drive alone.

Sitting at 1300 thanks to the Who Dats!!!
  11. What did you do on your birthday? Our very own ledzepfvr fought the good fight against breast cancer and strapped herself into a lean, mean, fast machine and made like Steve McQueen (or John Bonham) hauling ass down the track! Way to go birthday girl!!! Here she is next to her Hot Rod before the race.
  12. I'm posting this for ledzepfvr. She crossed off an item on her Bucket List today...and in support of the fight against Breast Cancer, no less! Boo cancer! Hooray ledzepfvr! Here she is next to her Hot Rod that she raced today...like she was reenacting John Bonham's "Moby Dick" sequence in "The Song Remains the Same" movie!
  13. God damn your Dolphins Paul!!!
  14. Dude, I didn't trick you. Is it that hard to understand? I explained it all over on the other NFL thread.
  15. You don't need my help for that. The baseball game IS the reason for the late start of the Oakland-San Diego game!!! Go back and read my post...I never said they were playing the game on the same day. The Oakland-Detroit baseball game was Saturday night. It takes a full day to switch Oakland Coliseum from baseball to football readiness. Hence, the push back of the Oakland-San Diego NFL game. Stadiums that share teams usually have this dilemma from time to time. The Staples Center crew have got it down to a science...they can go from a Laker basketball game to a Kings hockey game and back to a Clippers basketball game all within the same day. I've never done all three in one day, but I have gone to a Kings game and a Laker game on the same day.
  16. Like a fungus. Very HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES to badgeholder and pottedplant today! Today is your CELEBRATION DAY! Rock it like a Rock Star! Hmmm, Deborah yesterday, Ledzepfvr, pottedplant and badgeholder today...I guess your parents had a Very Happy New Year's Eve indeed!

  20. Well I hope they give you guys credit.
  21. Since they are your choices and you wrote the post yourself, Sue, they are 'original' choices. They originated from your mind and no one else's. Now, they may be common picks among us Zepheads, but for good reason. They kick ass. Who among you can listen to the May 25, 1975 CB and not crack a smile? Not have your darkness lifted and replaced by light? March 21, 1970 Vancouver is another great one, including Plant's improvising of "People" and "Ramble On" lyrics!
  22. Thank you for the tip Bayougal! After the tenth factual error I sort of gave up/lost interest in following Jimmy's OTD, so I'm way behind. Since that thread is a mile long by now, any idea where in the general vicinity the Royston Ellis OTD post is? Which page number?
  23. Not as good, IMHO, as Watchtower's "Coherence". Besides, that's only one show out of six. The way they botched the Badgeholders show was criminal.
