  2. For me Led Zeppelins best title is "Going to California" for the others it's Pink Flotd with "Several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave and grooving with a pict".....Any other suggestions??
  3. STH followed by Going to California, I think that it is a great title for a song,
  4. Mine is a pretty basic collection, I have two T-shirts (bought in the early 70's, I have a scrap book with concert reviews from Sounds Disc MM NME all that I collected myself at the time I have this awful 8 page program which just has LED ZEPPELIN on the outside and crappy black and white pictures on the inside, I have the three ticket stubs from the concerts I saw 2 at Liverpool (Stadium and Empire) and one from Earls Court of which I still have theprogramme from that one which isn't bad seeings as I hitch-hiked from London To Liverpool after the concert, it took almost a day, but I managed to keep the programme intact, on that day I took 35 photos of the concert and my mate took one of me outside Earls Court (Which one of my ex's snaffled, and yes you've guessed it all the ones I took on this crappy Zenith SLR inside the arena never turned out as the camera couldn't cope with the conditions indoors, but some of the articles in my scrapbook are pretty good, a bit yellow now. It ends with an article in the Daily Star stating that due to the death of Bonzo, that Led Zeppelin were no more.R.I.P.
  5. May I ask are these from America. I've never seen anything like them over here....absolutely fantastic!!!!!!!!
  6. Excellent picture, cheers mate..... where you there? I'm just curious to see how many people on the Zep Forum attended that night, or am I the only one left? i went with my mate Stvo and his girlfriend Jan. Thanks for the picture, from it you can see the space left when they moved the stage towards the wall.
  7. I am an old fart of 57, and I first saw them in 1971 when I was sweet 16.....Oh how things change !!!!!
  8. Did anybody else go to this concert, it was my first one and I was in awe of the situation. At the stadium (mainly used for boxing and wrestling) the ring was moved away and the stage was moved back creating a space in front of the stage where there were no seats, I think it held about 4.000 people. When Zep came on stage a mass of people all stormed the area were there were no seats , and everyone else started shouting "sit down", and other obscenities.Anyway amazingly the whole group just sat down on the stage until they all returned to their seats. It will remain etched in my memory until I die, great times!!!!!!!!
  9. The Rover and Kashmir are my favourite two, but there isn't a bad track on any of the four sides
  10. If they did do another show where would it be and the chances of getting a ticket are worse than winning the lottery for the O2 concert half a BILLION people applied for tickets and many of the so called fans who managed to get tickets resold them for extortionate prices, if there was some way of making sure that only true fans got tickets, still I suppose thats the same with anything.
  11. Who sets the date on this website, I am in the U.K it's now 1.57 pm and its the 18 April yet the date is showing 17 April, not important I know just asking.
  12. Why would any body want to play a record backwards anyway, I remember years ago all these dickheads saying much the same about Beatles records. As someone previously stated I havent got any means of reversing my records on any of mt turntables (not that I've ever tried), anyway Stairway to hell sounds like a good working title.
  13. I'm 57 and I am the same, I haven't had my hair cut for over 3 years, my daughters hate it, but I'm lucky at the moment I have no grey hairs, at least I shaved off my beard to shut them up!!!! I do get to keep a seat all to myself on the bus as no-one sits next to me even though my hair is extremely clean, still f*ck them

  15. Sorry I pressed the wrong button.........called simply Led Zeppelin and I was hooked, I have been lucky enough to see them three times at Liverpool Stadium, Liverpool Empire, and Earls court London which for me was an experience. I was working as a postman at the time, so I had to do my round on the Saturday morning, go home get changed and me and my mate Christy, hitch-hiked from liverpool to London,he had managed to get hold of two tickets the previous week, we only paid the ticket price price for them (£1.00). I know it's not much of a hike compared to America's size but we ended up getting a final lift on the M1 from a travelling puppet theatre, we were in the back of a furniture removal van, with all these puppets and a few scotsmen who happened to have a couple of cases of Mckewans export which they gladly shared with us. (If I recall I remember that England were playing Scotland at wembley the same day). Anyway after many rides and lots of walking we managed to get to Earls Court about 2 minutes before Zep came on stage and over 3 hours later we came out numbed with the experience and deaf too!! Unfortunately it took us over a day to get back I remember we were at Watford Gap services (made famous by Roy Harper) for hours, it was the coldest I have ever been in my life the only thing I had to keep me warm was my hair it was down to my waist, hence the lack of offers from drivers to offer us a lift, still a great time that I will remember for the rest of my life.
  16. For me as a Beatles fan since they started ( in my case I was 7 it was 1962) When the Beatles were virtually finished I heard an album called simply
  17. Im 57 (old b*stard I know) fan since I first heard LZ1 still a fan.
  18. Friends, Tea for one,, and Tangerine Since I've been loving you All for completely different phases in my life, then when I get over them I just wallow in all the rest of their music, I don't think any group will replace them I know we all have our favourite Zeppelin song but for me I can always associate them with the different females I've been associated with over the the years, but the most specual one for me is Tangerine.
  19. To be honest and without sounding obvious my favourite Zeppelin era was 1968 - 1980.
  20. He also sings it on The Rover from Physical Graffiti........ I used to rock it sometimes I'd roll it, I always knew what it was for.
  21. I have an original vinyl album, the vocals are excellent but the bass is hardly audible, also you can hear the audience talking, whoever taped it must have been in the audience with a hand held recorder. When Dazed and Confused starts you can clearly hear a voice saying "What is that?"
  22. Sorry so it was like yourself I also kept the leaflet it wasgood to get something for 4p.
  23. Mind you for people like me (56 yrs old). l remember Robert Plant saying (pre TSRTS) that they would not consider a live album as there were so many good bootlegs on the market. They obviously changed their mind. They should release more of their concerts as many were recorded for their own use.
  24. Did anybody else send off their ticket stub to obtain a free poster ( l sent my sisters so l could keep mine). Mine was from Liverpool stadium on 29 November 1971. The poster was a picture of each of them seperately, and was made of card so it has lasted all these years. Juast curious to see if anybody else did the same.
