  1. I'm Happy Just To Dance With You - The Beatles
  2. Angel Dance - Robert Plant/Los Lobos
  3. Going To California - Led Zeppelin
  4. Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
  5. No More Keeping My Feet On The Ground - Coldplay I've now managed to include a yet unreleased Coldplay song and a Coldplay b-side on my last two posts. That's weird.
  6. My Winston remaster does not have the edit in TYG. Am I the only one with this problem?
  7. My least favorites are Hot Dog, Bonzo's Montreaux, and Candy Store Rock.
  8. Not sure if this counts but Julian Casablancas of The Strokes was wearing a Led Zeppelin (Swan Song) jacket on SNL this past week.
  9. I think there's a difference between which of these songs is one's favorite and which is the best opener. For me Whole Lotta Love is my favorite song of the bunch, but I think Black Dog is the best opener because of the way it hits you over the head and really sets the tone for the album. Good Times Bad Times is a close second as it has a very similar effect.
  10. Thanks for the feedback. I'm siding with buying the Black Box right now because I can't seem to find a cheap price for the Castle remasters, and I'd prefer newly remastered copies of the first 6 albums. The final two albums are not essential but would be a nice bonus since there are a few decent songs among them.
  11. I want to invest in some original lineup Black Sabbath CDs but I don't know what path to take. I already have Paranoid and I'm looking to expand my collection. Should I buy the Black Box and get all eight remastered CDs for about $70? Should I just get the first six albums in their 1990 pressings for about $45? Or should I just get a greatest hits collection like Symptom of the Universe for about $25? Any advise would be much appreciated.
  12. I just started listening to Robert's solo work. Here are my favorites at the moment: 1. Ship Of Fools 2. Big Log 3. Slow Dancer 4. Angel Dance 5. Moonlight In Samosa
  13. I don't know what station I was on but I heard Misty Mountain Hop this morning in Illinois.
  14. What is your favorite line or verse in all of Led Zeppelin's music? What line speaks to you, has some special meaning, or just sounds cool? Please explain your choice. Mine is from Kashmir and is incidentally in my signature: I am a traveler of both time and space, to be where I have been... I think this line emphasizes Led Zeppelin's power as a group. Traveling through time and space signifies an almost God-like quality their musically legacy has, and "to be where I have been" speaks to the insane peaks Led Zeppelin reached; places few other bands have or ever will get to.
  15. I've just gotten intereseted in Black Sabbath and I'm considering getting some of their material. What should I start with? I'm probably gonna get Paranoid right away, but what other albums do you guys recommend? I don't think I like them enough to want to get the Black Box or anything like that, but if you had to choose maybe three other albums in addition to Paranoid, what would they be?
  16. Will Forte of SNL said on the iTunes Celebrity Playlist Podcast that Led Zeppelin is his favorite band and cited Since I've Been Loving You as his favorite Led Zeppelin song and possibly his favorite song ever.
  17. A couple days ago on the Classic Vinyl station on Sirius XM they played Four Sticks, which I had never heard on the radio before.
  18. I'd say Tangerine, Going to California, The Rain Song, and Bron-Yr-Aur are some of their more relaxing songs
  19. There are so many, but I'd have to say Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, Whole Lotta Love, Since I've Been Loving You, When The Levee Breaks, Going To California, The Song Remains the Same, Houses of the Holy, and Kashmir are among my favorites.
