I found this post on FB kind of interesting. I never knew that BIGLY was supposed to be on '77 Tour Setlist. Damn shame, I would have loved to hear that. Led Zeppelin had begun rehearsing in November 1976 for their 1977 US Tour, By January they moved to Manticore Studios in Fulham, an old theater owned by Emerson Lake and Palmer. Many of the pics were taken by Pennie Smith and published along with an interview by Roy Carr in the Feb 26, 1977 issue of NME, Oh and an interview with Page published in NME November 20, 1976 states that rehearsals began two weeks earlier. All Jimmy's interviews from that day at SwanSong in November mention that they will begin their US tour in February, in fact it begun in April, so not sure what happened there. Jimmy also discussed in an interview with Chris Salewicz in February 1977, "I'm pretty confident. Everyone's confident. As far as the playing goes there's no problems at all. We've got such a variety in there - Oh, 'Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You' is another number that we've been using pedal steel guitar instead of the usual. So it sounds pretty different from the original."

I think it would have been great if used in a movie. Very emotional track.

100% agree. I have always said this too. Hats Off To Roy Harper is the only useless Zep track imo. HHWCID would have been the perfect ending to Zep III. (esp. the way it just ends). HOTRH sounds like an outtake. Great minds think alike.

So agree Steve. I love some of the 80's shows but the setlists were strange. Rain Song seemed out of place and the WS/BMS intro to Kashmir did not fit in the early 80's. I would have loved to hear more Presence or songs ever played before.

Without releasing any new live material, I have to the 50th Anniversary has been a bust. I was really hoping for the rumored How The East Was Won release. Still waiting for the obligatory "I am going to tour in 2019" from Jimmy still. 😏

I love these guys. Saw them in Philly last year and the energy was amazing. Yes, they are very Zep like live (early days Zeppelin). Their cover of "That's Alright Mama" was fantastic and brought the roof down. Funny how people complain that modern rock sucks but as soon as a new band comes out with a classic rock sound, they are instantly slagged. F the haters. These guys are extremely talented and exciting live. I am a proud Greta Van fleet fan and can't wait to see them again in May! You're The One on SNL last night:

Many guitarists will tell you it was Zeppelin and not Hendrix that influenced them to pick up a guitar. That alone is worthy!
