  1. Awesome.I saw you guys in NJ. Great show esp since you played Trampled Under Foot. Thanks for some great memories.
  2. I have this box set and it rocks. I'm a huge Jimi fan but he only did a few albums and there are only so many unreleased songs....wish he could have given us more.
  3. I remember reading that when he got back to his dressing room, it was a mess. Someone had gone through all his stuff. They were probably looking for memorabilia or drugs. How lame.
  4. Here's one I was curious about. I remember reading somewhere that a young man died in Jimmy's house when he wasn't there I believe in the late 70's. Who was he and what were the details?
  5. A great show added by that I had fourth row seats. I skipped Elvin to get toasted before the show but I could hear him perfectly from where I was parked. He sounded good. Lots of fun with Buddy Guy doing a lot of interaction with the crowd. He even went into the crowd while jamming on his guitar. There's a reason the man is a legend. Amazing chops and tone! Next came George Thorogood and the Destroyers....what a blast. GT is even better on guitar than I thought. They played around 14 songs (all the hits). I really dug Gear Jammer. Again, he likes to interact with the crowd. It was one of those long shows that just flew by.
  6. He's opening up for Jethro Tull next week in Philly. Thanks for the report because I'm now more stoked then before. Excellent!
  7. As cheesy as the song is, I admit that "What Love Can Be" has grown on me (SIBLY Part 2). It reminds me of seeing them back in 1987 on the "Monsters of Rock" tour (Van Halen, Metallica, Dokken, Scorpions, and these lads). WLCB is one of the few songs I really remember by them that day.
  8. Steve...what are the actual heights of each member of Zeppelin?
  9. Why would I like a band that totally rips off Zeppelin yet claims they never listened to them (well at least that's what they claimed on MTV back in their day)?
  10. Coolio.I still don't like them though. To each their own...it's just that my way is the right way!
  11. Another reason Billy is cool in my book. "It was like the first time I heard Led Zeppelin. I realized I was nothing. Everything to that point was puny." Anyone that loves Zep that much can't be too bad. P.S. Abba lovers= WANKERS
  12. Good tunes by BJ: Captain Jack Goodnight Saigon (great lyrics) Movin' Out Allentown Scenes from an Italian Restaurant and my fave...Pressure! I saw him 2006 in Philadelphia and I thought he put on a great show. They even covered "Back In Black" by ACDC (he let his sound guy come on stage and play with them). P.S. BTW, screw the Mets/Yankees.....GO PHILLIES!!!
  13. Lay off Billy. He's way better then shitty ABBA, he's an amazing piano player, and he has the greatest quote EVER..."Rock & Roll died the day John Bonham did." That alone makes him cool in my book! P.S. Hey Jimmy Ray...you seem to hate everybody. WHO DO YOU LIKE?
  14. I went to one of the CSNY shows in NJ that summer. We laughed at the people who left in anger. They freaking paid $250 and they leave early because of a few anti-war songs. Wasn't that the reason they dug these guys back in the day? We just moved up front thanks to them!
  15. Sep 14, 2002 Hard Rock Hotel - The Joint 4455 Paradise Road I was there!!!
  16. Start with the live stuff...I disliked the Dead till my friend took me...have been a deadhead since (but a ledhead first)!!!
  17. BTW, I love Robert but if he spoke to me this way (calling me or any of my friends prick)...rock god or not...I probably would have told him to shut the fuck up...it's not his bar or jukeboz....but again, I think this story is BS...probably someone who looked like him and said he was Plant (remember the story of some kid pulled a knife on someone...when arrested, he said he was RP....it got published in the papers that it was RP...so again, it probably wasn't him)...everyone who has met RP has told me he is a very friendly and modest guy. I don't think he would act this way unless he was very, very drunk!!!
  18. I call BULLSHIT here....I remember reading that Robert liked the Red Hots when asked what modern bands he liked....maybe it was someone from a Zep cover band!!!
