  2. Good for him and you too!! It is funny to think that your son is finishing his school year and my two are just halfway through their's. Happy summer to you both!
  3. The quote is correct but it is on page 175. I don't know when the interview took place, maybe in 2003 when the DVD came out. EDIT: Jimmy seemed to be rewriting history in that interview since he claimed that since he went through a divorce prompted him to travel after the Earl's Court shows when in fact the band had to leave Britain for tax reasons.
  4. Don't mind if I do Hecube... and she is Sofia Coppola.
  5. Today is our dog Henry's 10th birthday. We have had him since he was 8 weeks old and has been either a joy, pain in the ass or both ever since but we are better people for having him in our lives. (Sorry for the sideways photo. i am using my hubby's laptop and it turned the photo.)
  6. Shadecatcher I believe Lennon learned how to drive but chose not to. I too have seen the photo with him behind the wheel of his car, right after he passed his drivers test.
  7. I am going to my son's school's Field Day. He is in his last year of elementary school so this is our last Field Day. Kinda sad since it will be my 10th one, between my two boy's years at the school.
  8. IMO, having him play that concert was tough love. Clapton, Beck and others did pull him aside to wake him of his heroin "coma". He was very isolated and withdrawn since Bonham's death and Zeppelin, that the London's ARMS concert gave him hope, inspiration and relit his musical fire. He was so far into is addiction and mourning of Bonham and Zeppelin that his confidence and self esteem took a huge hit. This one concert showed him that he was still loved by his fans, friends and his love for playing music was still alive. He was much different in the U.S. later that year. Yes he was still a drug addict but at least he was prompted to kick his heroin habit and live again.
  9. I ate a beef Vietnamese Pho for lunch. Yummy!
  10. ^^^^^Yum Reswati!! FF are my Achilles heel. Love them and could live off them if I could but alas, I want to fit into my existing clothes. I just had an early lunch of a smal bowl of leftover chili and a pear. That is my post workout meal and a pre walking meal. When my hubby has his twice weekly physical therapy, I power walk the neighborhood surrounding the medical building.
  11. ^^^^^Ironic since he doesn't drive. Or maybe he stopped driving since he couldn't figure out where to park. He clearly needed JPJ.
  12. ^^^^^ That is my favorite meal Paul. I made shrimp and sausage gumbo. And when I mean "made" I opened a jar of pre-made gumbo and added the meat. But it is tasty.
  13. The original "Miracle on 34th Street" with an adorable Natalie Wood.
  14. Actually Shadecatcher I am not a fan of them either. I much prefer when he dressed in "regular" clothes onstage. I loved what he wore during most of the 75 tour when it looked like he ran out of clean clothes and had to wear shirts and pants that didn't match. The western style shirt and plaid pants comes to mind. Of course I will always love what he wore at the 1970 RAH show.
  15. Ummm Strider...bad analogy. Hint: The Lemon Song...tee hee.
  16. A piece of fruit and a big ass cup of coffee cause I am a very tired girl this afternoon.
  17. Happy Happy (belated) Birthday to Kiwi, Walter and anyone else I have forgotten!! I hope you enjoyed your special day.
  18. You ate fish from a convenience store?! You are one brave girl. I just had my son's pb&j as an after workout meal. He forgot his lunch...again!
  19. Haha! If I was as pretty as he was I would be conceited too.
  20. True, very true. He was a guest on Top Gear a few years back and I thought "What a nice man...very boring but nice. He is an English musician?! Can't be." LOL
  21. Well it looks yummy. Speaking of chili, here is a clip from The Big Bang Theory. Sheldon is from Texas and the actor playing him is from a small town just north of here. This is how some Texans feel about their beloved chili.
  22. Is it a soft bread? It kind of looks like ciabatta bread.
  23. Ahhhh. Gotcha. Isn't known as a goody two shoes, someone who doesn't use swear words and an overall gentleman? He seems like the English Pat Boone.
