  1. Ok people, it's time to wake up! In the immortal words of Mel Brooks, (via Spaceballs) "Upsee Daisy, Upsee Dahzee, Upsee Mahzee!"

  2. Ok, here are a few more reports I've gotten since I've been her...I am severely anemic...I will get an iron supplement when I get home...I also have osteoporosis, so I will start fosamex (sp?) when I get home...they still can't say whether I have epilepsy for sure because I haven't had another seizure since last July, so they recommended that when I come home, they want me to go into the hospital for a sleep study, to see if they can catch any unusual activity during the night...I'm sort of d...

  3. ...Gotta have a spinal tap done tomorrow. No, that's not a musical joke...I wish! Part of my pituitary gland is enlarged, whatever that means. Apparently a spinal tap will tell the drs why that enlargement is happening. I guess...I have no clue what any of this means. Good news? Bad news? Beats me! Good night, my friends!

  4. ...and don't call me Shirley! ;)

  5. Just saw on local news that we're going to get 12" of snow overnight tonight here in Rochester, Minnesota, but they're not planning to close schools! If Shreveport had that much snow, especially in one snowfall, we would see schools, businesses and probably even the airport close, lol!

  6. First day of new snow in Rochester, MN this afternoon, but only about 1/2 inch...Even though it didn't make much of a noise, it was kinda cool to see while we're here! Today wasn't as busy with dr appts as it was yesterday...had time for lunch in between appts and found a nice restaurant tonight for dinner...tomorrow will be easy, with just one dr appt then a free day! Going to watch some tv before bed...goodnight my friends!

  7. Sad music news, via Pat Travers...Dan Toler has passed away...Dan was a member of the Allman Brothers Band, and also played with Dickey Betts in Great Southern...Dan had been afflicted with Lou Gehrig's disease for the past few years, and passed away peacefully in his sleep...RIP Dan! Rock on!

  8. I saw Robert Plant in Shreveport, Louisiana on November 13, 1988, just a few days prior to the afore mentioned Norman, Oklahoma gig. There was no opening act as I recall. He mixed in a few Zeppelin tunes with his solo stuff, and the crowd loved every minute! I actually got to meet Plant during that afternoon before the show and he signed a Zeppelin album for me. He told me that his grandfather's name was also Allan, and that the spelling of our shared name is Welsh. He was cool to visit with! Here is a photo I got with him.
