  1. ^^^^...thanks for that...
  2. I remember seeing this photo years ago but was not sure if ithe tee-shirt was kind of a joke or not....regardless, if he is happy that;s all the matters....
  3. wow...a crucifix...interesting, I don;t think I have ever seen him wear one before...cheers
  4. Listened to this while driving at night last night about 5 times...love K.D....
  5. this is one of my favorite albums of all time...I wore it out and still love to play it once in a while...what a talent!......sorry,,,had to stop scrolling and comment when i saw this ...ciao
  6. I thought it was really well done and that Chris Robinson did a great job on all the stuff I heard. I loved hearing all the guitar parts.I remember when I first heard, about the collaboration, that I was kinda shocked that they were getting together. I don't think I ever heard the Crowes reference the Zeps in any of their interviews/articles, but maybe they did. I have since learned that they had Page on with them for a tune and that was the start of a mutual admiration. I have also heard since that Steve Gorham is a big Bonham fan. He plays great too......cheers Rich
  7. we bought one for my mother-in-law and got it going on Christmas Day. Pretty cool machine and brews a good cup (tons of flavours) for sure....enjoy
  8. ...saw Ted open up for Lynryd Skynyrd (Tribute Band IMHO) here in Barrie a few years ago. He was loud and great. Yeah, he can play!
  9. I guess I respect the band and the fandom, from afar....I did like the movie "Festival Express". That was pretty cool but not enough to turn me into a fan.
  10. Has he ever said why he did not contimue wearing it? Does anyone know if he has ever talked of this?
  11. early 70's, I was probably 8yrs old, and my Uncle had Led Zep II, but none of the other albums. LZII was all I knew, except I did hear people talking about a song called Stairway to Heaven (But did not know where it could be found or heard and radio was not that great/accessible yet)..... Dec 75, my uncle buys me Physical Graffiti. Then I eventually got the back catalogue and was conscious of the releases of , Presence, TSRTS and ITTOD when they came out...... Back then there was very little to know about the band, especially when you were a kid. The odd Cream or Hit Parader mag but not much else. There was however, a book written by Ritchie Yorke that I remember finding at the North York library in Toronto. Finding that book was like finding buried treasure. Its amazing now to read/see all the stuff on the band and hear all the boots and outtakes. I really enjoy it, but I am glad that when I was a kid, all I had were the songs, and the album jacket. I know my thoughts about the guys and the band were made up by my imagination.
  12. The author said it was a "song of hope" so I guess I'll take his word for it...... For me when I hear STH, I think I get different imagery everytime, but I always look forward to the line, "Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run, There's still time to change the road you're on.."..... And my all time favorite line of the entire lyric is "To be a rock and not to roll".....killer line!
  13. fun tune! had to be Jimmy's Fender Tele with the B-Bender....another example of their ability to play anything they wanted too...
  14. If you don't know the Rain Song/DGCGCD, I highly recommend learning it....... It is so much fun to play. Jimmy was a genious!...cheers Rich
  15. ...no problem P_P, just wondering,,,thanks very much for replying...ciao
  16. Agreed, great analogy re: Gene Hackman (another blue-chipper)....I have really loved Denzel in all the movies I have seen with him but up until Flight, Training Days was so unbelievably good with him playing that dirty-cop....He was fantastic and so scary in that........on a side note, I have a friend who did a little body guarding for Denzel when he was in Toronto. He said that Denzel was a great guy and a very generous tipper.
  17. Hadn't gone to a movie theatre in quite a while. But I saw "Flight" on the weekend. Really like it. Denzel gives another stellar performance. Story line was surprising but interesting....two thumbs up!
  18. Hey Jack95, if and when you are able, I am sure the folks around here would enjoy seeing your film if that is possible. Especially if there is a Zeppelin connection. Good luck !
  19. Hi Percy's Plant, just had a question about the shot you have posted of Plant in the black leather jacket. I have that same exact photo and actually got him to autograph it at a Toronto show a couple fo years ago. The one I have is on Kodak paper that came into my possession in 1977-8. just wondering how you can have the same photo (without the autograph). I am now scratching my head after having believed, for all these years, that I actually had a "one of a kind photo"...no big deal. Just wondering about the history of that photo now and if you happen to have any info it'd be great to know...cheers Rich
  20. There was a recent Robert Plant interview posted on another thread where he kinda dissed Sabbath. I'm not really a fan of the Sabs but you gotta give them a thumbs up for some great tunes. Songs that are held dearly in the hearts of Black Sabbath fans. It kinda pisses me off when I hear musicians cutting up other musicians so I am not cutting Mr. Plant any slack here. i think he was off-side. There's room for everyone.....P.S.- a couple of years ago i was on a golf trip down in the Tampa Bay area. While down there we went to see OZZY, with Slash opening....great time!
  21. 11:19am......Headphones on listening to Night Flight....what a frigging great song!
  22. Great Band! Trailblazers for so many. For me, "A Day In The Life" and "In My Life" are my all time favs....... I liked the Page/Plant interview (1970 New York Press Conference in the LZ DVD) where one of the reporters ask them what they think of the Beatles and Jimmy and Robert both speak highly of them. I thought that was pretty cool and respectful too especially given that the Zeps were the new kids in town and the Beatles were ending.
  23. When i was a kid in the mid seventies learning how to play the guitar, and getting into Led Zeppelin , my friends older brother told me I should check out Jeff Beck. In 1977 my mom was going out west on a trip to Vancouver. She asked me if I wanted anything and i said I would love a Jeff Beck album. She brought back the Jeff and Jan live album and it got me interested in him from that day on. I have seen him 3 times in the last 5 years and the guy is phenomenal. No body plays like him. His use of volume and his bar work are so unique. We've all seen tons of guitar players but if you really watch him you realise he is approaching the guitar from a much different place than most.
