  1. Its sad that all of these buildings are being lost. There must have been thousands of stories containted within each of these structures.Stories of a fan's first exposure to the magic that is Led Zeppelin or whichever band they happened to see. Those bricks are the temples to store lifelong memories and each loss of a music palace is a small erasure of those memories contained within. Years ago,in an attempt to capture photos of these Zeppelin venues,an effort was put forth by Bruce Deerhake,Nestor Tytla and myself to build a web site displaying these buildings. It remains unfinished and

  4. The cat is out of the bag and the game afoot!
  5. The Sunday Mercury says that Robert and opera tenor Alfie Boe have recorded Tim Buckley's Song of the Siren to appear on Boe's next album. Apparently the two singers met in a bar and discovered that they're fans of each other's singing. Led Miserables?
  6. There is also a photo from 1977 floating around of Bonzo holding JPJ's bass while Jimmy looks on and smiles.
  7. Roger, I am simply bowled over by your magazine collection. Its a tremendous effort that deserves much praise and a museum! Thank you for sharing this wonderful collection. Regards, Frank
  8. The second photo was featured in JP's photo book released last year.
  9. They're all good so any choice is a good one. In no particular order; Physical Graffiti, How The West Was Won, BBC Sessions, The Song Remains The Same soundtrack, Zep 1,2,3,4.. Its hard to narrow down, really. Maybe you will want to work your way through the studio albums then get to the live stuff.
  10. How about creating a stop motion video of your band and riffs using wire pipe cleaners. They're cheap and easy to manipulate between shots. Or you could use the old standby....clay. Are you stuck on the concept, the materials or the look of the film?
  11. My older brother has Zep II on 8 track in 1975 or so.I listened to it for days. I then bought PG around 1983 and heard the BBC sessions the same year.In 84,I traders leather jacket for 3 vinyl bootleg albums. I've been a fan and collector ever since. The apex of my fandom was being given tickets to the O2 show, rehearsal and after show parties ....thanks to my membership @ FBO. What an exciting journey its been!!!

  13. You can also try Petfinders.com Sometimes cats go on little ventures and stay with someone for a while.Or just come home after 3 weeks like nothing happened. Today its common to put a microchip in pets in case they're lost. And a name tag on the collar is invaluable. I hope he turns up soon!
  14. I stand corrected.Simon Kirke always sounded like it didn't fit.Thanks.
  15. Like everyone else,I'd first heard rumors of Led Zeppelin reuniting in June 2007. I assumed this was just another in a long line of rumors that seemed to materialize on an almost regular basis. I didn't think much of these latest round of rumors until I received a cryptic email from my Zeppelin associate in September. He said it was definitely on and would be announced the public in a few weeks. I had to promise not to repeat this information to anybody until it's been officially announced. The rumors and web sites were lit up with speculation, theories, denials, dreamers, skeptics and nay-sayers
  16. I believe the TRB video also has a quick clip off the band exiting a dressing room /RV ..coming down steps which I presume is backstage in Pittsburgh. Speaking of snippets,I wonder about the source of the 2 sec clip of JHB "dancing " in what appears to be a hotel seen on the 2003 DVD. And finally, does anyone recall a clip of Bonzo with a hotrod on YouTube? It was taken down before I had a chance to view it.
  17. It'll be interesting to see when and if Shelley releases the Central Park video.I heard he approached the band to sell it to them but don't know how far he got. As an aside,I long heard rumors that the LA 70 show was filmed and was viewed by a Guy in Las Vegas. Additionally,I've always wondered about that 1970 Documentary proposed by the band and if anything ever materialized In the same year, one wonders if there is more from Chris Welch and from the D&C snippet from Iceland seen on DVD.
