  1. Where ya been Led Zep Girl? Are you going to Celebration Day filming?
  2. I always think of Eddie Marsan as "Mr. Pancks", in one of those Dickens PBS mini series because that was the first time I'd seen him. He definitely has an usual look. I've seen him in a few other things. Good actor. Thanks for the recommendation.
  3. "simple vaginaplasty" sounds like an oxymoron. I don't think I really want to know what this entails. No googling this one.
  4. Curious to read your review when you get some time. Thinking about perhaps making a drive (a rather long one) to see it next month.
  5. Too cold too early. Frost last night.
  6. To the gym, bit of housework, watch some football, then off to skating practice.
  7. Thanks Sue. I suppose they had their reason, but it is speedy.
  8. L.A. Forum 6/21/1977. Was Achilles that sped up, or is it this particular copy that I'm listening to (Youtube)?
  9. I hope so Walter! Has JPJ finished his work on Ghost Sonata?
  10. There are forum members who know a lot more than I do on the subject, but I think that beginning in 1973 some of Zeppelin (at least Jimmy and John Paul) had stage clothes made for them. I believe I read that the onion jacket is on display in the R & R Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH USA.
  11. Jack White at Boston University. I had a great time and will definitely see him again. A commute that should normally take no more than two hours, took me three and a half. I missed the support band. Jack had his Peacocks band at the show, those women can rock. At the start of the show, the sound was not great, especially vocals, but it improved. I prefer the hard rocking songs, but the entire show was entertaining. I was disappointed that the show was only an hour and a half. After reflecting on the show the following day, I think one of the reasons is that Jack White wastes no time. Not a lot of talking, no drum solos, no clothes change, just music. In the summer I saw Aerosmith. Although I don't like many of Aerosmith's songs from the last few decades, the show was much better than I expected. Aerosmith's show had an extended stage, smoke, drum solo, clothing changes, Tyler and Perry lifted onto the stage from below, etc. I only mention this to note the presentation differences.
  12. It was fantastic! I wish he had played longer. I will post more in the "after" thread, which I didn't realize existed until you mentioned it. Cheers Virginia.
  13. Happy to hear it was great. Thanks for the review! Who was the opening act? <Edit to add that I found the answer to my question.>
  14. Jack White tomorrow night (Friday). Hope Virginia makes her way onto the forum tomorrow to give her thoughts.
  15. Turn Me Loose - Loverboy (ugh)
  16. Heart of Stone - The Rolling Stones
  17. Let's Get It On - Marvin Gaye
  18. Cute ebk. What would you do if something crazy happened like Baltimore and Washington getting to the World Series?
