  1. I saw & downloaded this a week ago when it first went up, I also looked at this site to see if there was any mention of a Paris 69 Pre FM upgrade and there was none, I started to look each day since then and no mention was forthcoming I started to wonder if something was wrong, had all talk of it been banned or was it just something everyone knew about, so Yesterday I decided enough was enough and that I ought to mention it for the good of all just in case, now I'm glad I did because it appears there's lots of folk who knew nothing about it. Graham
  2. Thanks for that, I see it's in the Top 10 CD's section but has not yet made the 1969 listing page, it'll get there though and it's a really great boot. Graham
  3. Very true and I was quite surprised not to see mention of it anywhere, maybe someone should tell the guy's at Underground Uprising so they can do a review of it. Graham
  4. Not sure if this mentioned on here but I thought someone ought to, if you know where to look there's a CD of a TAPE of the Pre Broadcast reels available from the Olympia, 10th October 1969 in the CITY of Paris, so is an upgrade on that which has been previously available, so it's well worth checking out if you can find where to look for it. RAISING SAND 2

I Just don't like all of it I find it boring, Just as I don't like all of his previous albums but think some are great, are you saying anyone that doesn't like every album Plant makes is selfish because that's a stupid argument, I may like the next album they do so anyone who likes that will be ok, but because they didn't like the first album they are still selfish, just the same as if someone likes Raising Sand but not the 2nd album have they gone from Ok to being selfish....I think not. End of this argument for me with you, for which I'm sure you'll come up with some kind of insulting comment about because that's all someone like you knows how to do.

    RAISING SAND 2

Your reaction proves my point on on the anger issues, you're also unable to make a point without resorting to insults!!! I'll accept it's Americana which is a the minor point of my view I said it was bluegrass initially but never tried argue when it was suggested otherwise, I just make the point RS does nothing for me and hope the 2nd outing will be better that's all, It's nothing to get so stirred up about it's just a different opinion that's all.

    RAISING SAND 2

It's an album that's been classed as Bluegrass by some charts in the US and Allison is a Bluegrass artist and a good one at that, but this collaboration just doesn't work for me. I know it came out in October 2007 but it's been gathering it's momentum over the last year or so. I guess I brought up the Fleetfoxes because both Raising Sand & their album have that earthy log cabin type of feel but one works & one doesn't. I'm not one of these who thinks Robert should be with Zep & not doing other things, it's only the fact for me Raising Sand doesn't work & both artists involved have done much better in the past for me, but maybe vol 2 will be better here's hoping as I don't dislike everything on RS there's a couple of good performances on it but I find I can't listen to it in one go as it bores me after the first 2 songs. We are all different & I'm glad Roberts had success with this, I just hope the 2nd outing will be better that's all. Graham

    RAISING SAND 2

Raising Sand is one of the most overrated albums of the last Year, I love Blue Grass music and it's often thrilling and exciting music but this album is just plain boring. the version of "Fortune Teller" is terrible and a few times after hearing it I've Dug out The Who's "Live at Leeds" to clense my ears and hear the superb version they did. A much better buy over the last 12 months for me has been the Fleet Foxes album & EP, though not blue grass by any means it out classes the Raising Sand album. Graham
  10. Yes I think he's cutting his ties completely, although I think he should stick to the courage of his convivtions and stop performing the Zep songs in his solo shows like he did when he first went solo, as good as "mighty rearranger" & some other solo stuff was, methinks he won't take it that far as the Zep songs are the most popular part of his live shows. Graham
  11. Too Right, It's the Complete Zep Renion Gig we want & nothing less
  12. My First post in ages here. I have mixed feelings about this, I'm glad Plant has put out a statement & I'm also glad he's said no because his heart isn't in it, because it wouldn't be healthy for the band or the music if he did it for the wrong reasons. I obviously wish it were the opposite but he's made his decision and you have to respect the guy. I just hope he brings out some great solo music like he he did with "Strange Sensation", rather than the Bluegrass music he did with Allison Kraus because that did nothing for me, I really enjoy bluegrass music but that collaboration just never worked for me. I also really hope Pagey, JPJ & Jason continue to collaborate & get a really good vocalist, although not your typical hard rock stereoptype, someone good like Paul Rodgers, Terry Reid or maybe someone younger even, I know Rodgers will be out because of Queen but it needs someone of that calibre. One more thing I think it's time they released the O2 gig officially now there'll be no new music involving Plant & the other 3 guy's. Graham
  13. posted this on a similar thread, but I'll repeat it here just so everyone sees it...................... Watched the interview after my Mam rang to say someone from Led Zep is on TV, so turned it on & watched it. The interesting thing was when Plant was asked about Led Zep, he didn't rule anything further out. He said he'd enjoyed it, the press was great which surprised him and asked about the future for Zep, he talked about not being able to do it like the Stones or other bands who just keep on doing it as it becomes cheesy, what he said was "It's got be everything it was at the beginning, but at a different Stage in One's Life" Then asked to clarify whether or not it'll happen again he said "I Don't think I can think about that right now, I've got an American across the Atlantic poking me with a violin Bow saying c'mon tell em Robert" he then went on to say that with Zep everything was real, and whatever happens (Meaning in the future) it's got to be magic. So Unlike interviews before the Reunion he's not ruling it out, now that doesn't mean anything will happen but at least it wasn't a NO and he seemed willing to talk about it. Graham

  15. After having this new remastered version on both CD & DVD since it came out, and putting the awful editing to one side, I've come to the conclusion that The DVD leaves me as cold as it originally did and I'll probably hardly ever watch again if at all. But I am enjoying the remastered CD's much more than I ever did the original Vinyl release, the sound on it is vastly improved though that said it's definitely not one of the best performances at all.
