  1. Last year a submission to a film festival listed the film's runtime as two hours and 27 minutes https://ledzepnews.com/2020/04/04/is-the-official-led-zeppelin-documentary-called-apollo/
  2. Looks like the band's PR agency sent out a press release which Variety and NME have written up - but whoever runs the Led Zeppelin website wasn't kept in the loop/didn't think this qualified as "news" enough for a rare official update on the site.
  3. No release date has been announced for the documentary, sadly.
  4. You're quite right - if a company was dissolved more than 20 years ago then it won't show up on Companies House. It's usually worth checking, though, as often in the music industry businesses can be kept alive for a long time. Led Zeppelin's Superhype Tapes Ltd company, for example, is still trading after being incorporated in 1968.
  5. I've checked Companies House and I can't see any evidence of "Peter Grant Ltd" or "Peer Grant Ltd" having existed at that time. There was a "Peter Grant Ltd" active from 2009 to 2018 registered to a "Peter Henry Grant" in Cambridgeshire but other than I can't see any records of the business on that logbook.
  6. Seems strange to cancel this without providing any reason for it. Were there production issues due to the pandemic? Shipping problems? The abrupt scrapping of the reissue the day before it was due to be released is rather strange.
  7. It's interesting to me that this is a semi-official celebration of Led Zeppelin bootlegs. It's not an official book, but it's written by a close friend of Jimmy Page and published by the company which released Led Zeppelin's 50th anniversary book.
  8. Just spotted that these drum sticks are currently being auctioned again by the same company: https://www.gottahaverockandroll.com/John_Bonham_Stage_Used____Presence__Studio_Used_Cu-LOT34799.aspx
  9. Robert Plant was also interviewed by SPIN: https://www.spin.com/2020/10/robert-plants-absolute-invaluable-journey/ And an interview with him appears in the latest edition of Mojo Magazine: He was also interviewed on "Later... with Jools Holland" broadcast tonight. iPlayer link: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000n1qf BBC Sounds link: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p08t5xlg
  10. Thanks - stumbled on that article yesterday when I was seeing if there's any update on the documentary. From what I've heard, the documentary producers have spent a lot of time hunting out archive footage. Nice to hear they're being thorough about it all.

    Boleskine

    Not even remotely believable
  12. Sounds like it's just a way to squeeze extra money from owning the tracks on YouTube and taking the full cut of ad revenue from people listening to Led Zeppelin on YouTube rather than a sign of anything else happening.
  13. Here's the full response from the auction website to Jason Bonham's Instagram post: He attached a screenshot of one of Jason's Instagram comment on his recent post which reads: "Dad did meet him and invited him to a show at the Forum 77 ( I was told Jeff worked with Billy Cobham and Dad loved Billy"
  14. I think the auction site is referring to the final photograph in the listing of Bonham on stage - they're clarifying that he's not shown playing with the sticks up for auction in that photograph.
  15. Thanks for sharing Jason's Instagram post. I've contacted the auction and asked them for comment on Jason's post - will see if they respond to him.
  16. That photo is from his BBC Late Junction appearance from New Year's Day 2013 https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p012zlmh/p012zl4y
  17. Barrington Coleby definitely existed - I spoke to him on the telephone and knew his family members and friends.
  18. Now expecting an announcement on the Dragon Telecasters tomorrow morning UK time
  19. I hear that an announcement on this is coming tomorrow.
  20. Yes I'm surprised it has spread this far - the prankster is calling himself Johnny Iommi and has posted online comments about the supposed problem and wrote to Jimmy's local council, who treated it seriously. I spoke to a source close to Jimmy at the start of the year and he confirmed it's untrue. Robbie Williams' spokesman has said the same. The rumour was very obviously rubbish as it referred to Jimmy's driveway at Tower House (it doesn't have a driveway.)
  21. The story about Robbie Williams dressing as Robert Plant and playing loud music is completely untrue.
  22. This is misleading: He didn't say it was connected to the fiftieth anniversary, and he didn't say it's for a "campaign" either. We can assume it could be connected to that, but it's not what Jason said. Here's his full quote about the name:
  23. I updated the ledzepnews.com article above with the official product description. There are three different releases of high definition audio for this remaster other than vinyl and CD: The separate Blu-ray release, the DVD audio disc included in the deluxe box set, and the download of the high definition audio included in the deluxe box set.
