  1. Checked em out on youtube and that is some good stuff. Damn that guy can sing.
  2. I like the way you think. That acoustic set could have been way more adventurous.
  3. Have it playing as I write and you are bang on. . And love the melody Plant chooses on this one as well. And Bonham makes it a shuffle. Wonderful stuff.
  4. I love all this instrumental takes as well. Thank You is an especially sweet one. Nice choices
  5. Damn, 2 amazing choices (that I just relistened to). Both a huge glimpse into how a song is built. La La so damn groovy and a nice solo in it. 10 Ribs has some heavy handed Bonham playing ( and I mean that in a good way) and some sweet acoustic guitar playing. And of course JPJ playing so beautifully. Great stuff John.
  6. I been loving my new Sennheiser headphones (no it is not an ad I just love them!) so I’ve been sitting outside and listening to Zeppelin. I am going through all the outtakes Page released on all the reissues. There are so many gems. 2 tracks truly blow me away; Brandy & Coke (Trampled Underfoot Initial Rough Mix). The 2 vocal tracks so clear and just stunning!!!! Especially with headphones. The “Oooooooo Yeah”s are gold! Everybody Makes it Through (In The Light Early Version). It doesn’t hurt that In The Light is my all time fave Zep tune but this outtake is a musical gem. Sunshine, brings laughter………… (While I am on this it sounds like he then sings “Rain clouds, brings a dance”. Anyone else here this?) Just wondering out of all the outtakes Page released which ones rock ya? If ,sadly, Page releases nothing else I am so happy he included all these amazing outtakes. Cheers.
  7. I have it playing as I write and it is a killer version! The intro is a great jam. Plant's voice is amazing. And how, like you said, JPJ decided to jump in during the theremin thing. That has to be one of the great live version of that tune. Many thanks.
  8. I have no idea why this font is happening but I love it................................... I juts listened to a bootleg called "Orlando Magic Florida Sunshine" and oh my friend you are so right, that is a killer version. The band and solo are so intense that it is almost a relief when it stops and Plant comes back in. And the intro Organ part isdso amazing. Nice call on this one, thanks.
  9. I always tell myself that I could not possibly love Zeppelin more than I do, and yesterday I sat outside on a hot Montreal summer night with my new high-end headphones and was listening to the BBC recordings and Thank You came on. It blew me away. It is so powerful and so beautiful and Bonham is on fire! And the solo is classic Page. Then everything stops and Plant comes back in.........And so today, my world it smiles. And the tasty tasty interplay between Page and Jones at the end is wonderful Among 1000 other moments this is Zep at their finest. What a song. What a version and what a recording.
  10. I love that JPJ is a priority for you. Me too brother. me too. Check out some of SteveZ's bootleg remasters, he too loves JPJ and puts him high in the mix.
  11. Ha ha, not often do you hear Shania Twain mentioned in that company but I will proudly admit that my wife and I often sing her tunes at the top of our lungs. It is great, fun, car-trip music. Sometimes you gotta get silly. I leave you with some lyrics by my all time fave Cohen song; Now I bid you farewell, I don't know when I'll be backThey're moving us tomorrow to that tower down the trackBut you'll be hearing from me baby, long after I'm goneI'll be speaking to you sweetly from a window in the Tower of Song..................
  12. Hey Brad I can't pretend to know everything you have been through and I am so sorry to hear about your son. Let the music you shared continue to keep you together. Thanks for sharing. Love and respect to you from Montreal.
  13. Thanks so much for posting them. The shot of Bonham from behind is one of the finest rock pics I have ever seen. Damn!!!!!!!
  14. Damn, how could I not have known this? Thanks Steve, that is so cool.
