  2. Storseisundet Bridge in Norway
  3. It makes me wonder how and why this band even has any fans. According to that article, G n' R are also still keeping their fans waiting for several hours before they even take the stage.
  4. Guns N' Roses ban fans from wearing Slash t-shirts to their UK gigs (New Musical Express)
  5. JKutchma & the 5/Fifth's w/ Randall Brice Bickford and Filthybird last night at Tir na nOg in Raleigh as part of the Local Band/Local Beer series.
  6. Tres Chicas (Caitlin Cary, Tonya Lamm and Lynn Blakey) tonight at City Plaza in Raleigh. It's the first of seven shows in the Oak City 7 concert series.
  7. Welcome to the board. I like a lot of Dylan's new records as well. Some folks, especially on boards such as this, seem to have no interest in listening to his latter day records. It's as though their musical development became stunted somewhere along the way and nothing after 1980 is deemed worthy of their attention. As for the Bootleg Series, there's tons of great stuff there which is a testament to just how outstanding his entire body of work is overall. To top that off, there's also the unofficial bootleg series that have been compiled by fans. Even though I've never heard any of those, it's my understanding that they outshine the official series.
  8. The Temperance League is a great new band out of Charlotte fronted by Bruce Hazel. Think Springsteen, Southside Johnny, the Clash and Graham Parker all rolled into one and you'll begin to have some idea of what they sound like. This is the latest in a series of 45's they're putting out leading up to the release of their first full length record. Scored this thanks to Prine's current sale via his Facebook page. A different album will be featured for sale each weekend throughout the summer up until Labor Day. I have most everything of his either on vinyl or CD but still have a few holes to fill. This is one of 'em.
  9. Do you believe Dylan to be undeserving of the award? It's really hard to tell when the majority of your replies are emoticons without any sort of elaboration.
  10. Bob Dylan Awarded Presidential Medal of Freedom (Rolling Stone)
  11. I was referring to the clip you posted earlier where you referred to her as "somewhat normal".
  12. Again, nothing new in the world of music or the arts.
  13. Trying to apply words like "normal", especially to most anyone in the music industry, is an exercise in futility.
  14. According to the second article below the new album features a 9 minute song plus a 14 minute one about the Titanic. Report - Bob Dylan's new album reportedly finished, UNCUT offered first listen (Examiner.com) Bob Dylan's New Album (Ultimate Classic Rock)
