  4. They're watching the annular solar eclipse in Japan.
  5. For a limited time, you can watch Pearl Jam Twenty online at PBS' American Masters website.
  6. Album rock stations in my area always played cuts from that era of Fleetwood Mac, particularly "Albatross" and "Oh Well". I'm sure there were others but those are the first two to spring to mind. I also like the Buckingham-Nicks era of Fleetwood Mac but don't see it as a "step down" from anything, it was just a shift in styles, something they've done more than once over the course of their career.

  12. There was never going to be a "brand new LZ record", they were going to go by a new name. And, if a new album from Page, Plant, Jones and Jason Bonham would have materialized there's no guarantee that it would have lived up to their previous work as individual artists or as Led Zeppelin.
  13. No actual news has surfaced yet about why the shows have been postponed but if it is inner band strife I have a sneaking suspicion that the shows won't be rescheduled. **Edited to add: Still an unofficial source but the Van Halen News Desk site has filed a report that you can read here.
  14. Found both of those on vinyl at In the Groove Records here in Raleigh today. I saw the Fabulous Knobs album in there several weeks ago but it didn't really pique my interest until I heard it was fetching as much as $90 on eBay. I tipped a few folks off about it so I was quite surprised to still see it in the racks today. The other album is a compilation put together by the folks at the now defunct K-94 FM out of Norfolk, VA. I was never able to pick up the station all that good because it was so far away but at night you could get a pretty clear signal. We had some good local radio in NC back in K-94's heyday but they sounded like nothing else around here. The comp consists mainly of bands that were more well known in the Tidewater area of VA but there's at least a couple (the Super Grit Cowboy Band and Sutter's Gold Streak) that were also quite popular around these parts. In fact, the Super Grit Cowboy Band is still going strong, even after all of these years.
  15. I haven't heard it all the way through yet but Roger Waters was interviewed on Jim Ladd's show on XM/Sirius' Deep Tracks channel last night.
  16. Thanks for the heads up. Over the past several years I've been filling some holes in my collection, including Grand Funk. This will make for a nice addition.
  17. TheBoot.com is premiering the video for "Clementine" which you can watch here.
