  1. Hi! Is this shot from Atlanta 1973? Maybe? Jimmy's hair looks abit longer. Thoughts?
  2. Here's a great one of Jimmy aboard the Starship. He seems to be in a very "inspired" state. If it was me....I'd be doing the same exact thing. Enjoy! ZoSo
  3. Thanks! Of all places Facebook. I'll check to see if there are more. It's such a great shot. Jimmy looks way out. His stage outfit for this show is killer. How come more photos of this show have yet to surface? Was Neil Preston shooting for this show?
  4. Hello, My name is Jason Sprinzen. I am currently writing a book about Showco- the legendary sound and lighting company from Dallas, Texas. Showco produced every Led Zeppelin tour from 1971 through 1980. I recently came across an interesting collection of 10 polaroid photographs that were in my archive while doing research on the 1973 North American Tour. They were taken by a crew member who must have been standing in the middle of the field while Led Zeppelin was running through their daytime sound check. From the photographs, you can clearly see two very large white (what could possibly be) projection screens on either side of the stage. I will be speaking with the crew member in the near future and ask him his memories of this little documented show. These mentioned photos will be pictured in my upcoming book. If I uncover information on this show I will definitely pass it along. Thanks!
  5. Hello! Very nice playing on the Rain Song! Keep up the great work!
  6. Hey guys! This is a great thread. Here's a cool and very rare shot of Robert Plant and the Starship conquering North America in 1973. Who's the cat Percy is standing with? Roy Harper?
  7. Hey everyone! Happy New Year! Thank you for all your replies! I really appreciate it. Happy to hear you like the pictures. I found a few more. I'll post em' soon.
  8. Here's a photo of me in my old room with that great poster on the wall back in the mid 1980's.
  9. As i'm back home for the holidays I was feeling a bit nostalgic. I pulled out the old family photo albums from the mid to late 80's. I wanted to share with some friends and have a good laugh. I came across these great photos of my old room back in Huntington, Long Island. Even back then I was the biggest Led Zeppelin fan. I still am. My whole room was a shrine full of Led Zeppelin head shop posters, Swan Song promotional items, pictures torn from Creem & Hit Parader magazine and original tour memorabilia from 1975 & 1977. Anything Zeppelin related I could get my hands on. Not a shabby collection considering this was the age before the internet. My friends and I would hang out in that room and listen to Led Zeppelin records, cassettes and hard to get bootlegs (sorry Peter Grant) on the stereo, play guitar (trying to figure out the Rain Song and Ten Years Gone), drink beers and have a great time. I just checked the closet. My Mom saved all of these items that adorned those walls so many years ago. Led Zeppelin RULES! ZoSo

  15. Hey Zep Head! Right on man! Thank you!
  16. Hi Steve! Nice to hear from you. Indeed.....very true.
  17. Here's my custom made Jimmy Page Black Dragon Jacket! I play guitar for Electric Magic- my Led Zeppelin tribute band. We had a pretty big gig down in the Lower East Side of New York City at Otto's Shrunken Head. The set list was gonna have some heavy deep tracks....Sick Again, What Is And What Should Never Be, Ten Years Gone, Kashmir, Rock n' Roll, Dazed and Confused (with bow solo) and Ramble on. For the show it was decided that we should dress as the members of Zeppelin but not go way over the top. This jacket is what I came up with. I hope you enjoy it. I was a real challenge to make. It's not exact but kinda close right???? It looks beautiful on stage and under the lights!!!
  18. Hello! I would like to share my Led Zeppelin III denim jacket from 1985 (my high school days). My cousin's friend from Hicksville, NY was a wonderful artist. To make extra pocket money for concerts, pizza, beers and Acapulco Gold he would paint album covers on to denim jackets for his friends. I asked him if he paint the album cover from Led Zeppelin III on to my Levi's denim....he was blown away that I asked him...but very up to the challenge. This was his all time favorite album cover! He told me that kids always commissioned him to paint Led Zeppelin I and II. The only problem was I wanted to wear the jacket for the up coming Robert Plant concert at the Meadowlands Arena July 23rd 1985. This was exactly one week away. He did such a beautiful job and was so proud! It looks as good today as back then. The jacket is always a hit where ever I go. People seem to remember me (actually... the jacket) at Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones concerts. My cousin and his friend are passed away now. I am so happy I have this beautiful jacket to always remember them. ZoSo
  19. Hello, I thought you guys would dig this... For my 42nd birthday my beautiful girlfriend threw an amazing surprise party for me at our local favorite bar. Check out my birthday cake!!!! My girl did her research on Jimmy's 1959 "Dragon Telecaster" because that's one of her favorite guitars he used in the Yardbirds and Led Zeppelin. She sent the detailed photos to her friend who makes custom cakes. What a challenge uh???? She never made a cake like that before. She did an amazing job! You can't imagine how knocked out and happy I was when she presented to me in front of everyone. As you can see the "Dragon" detail was all hand pained. Everything on the guitar was edible, 100% vegan and delicious except for the guitar strings!!!! The only thing that was sad.... We had to eat it but it was sooooooooooooo worth it!!! Everyone loved it. It was the most amazing present ever! I love my girlfriend! Enjoy the pictures!!! ZoSo
  20. Hello everyone! I am really enjoying this post!! Here is a shot of my vintage Led-Zeppelin belt buckle collection. The buckles are from the 1970's through the early 80's.
  21. Hi Planet Page! Wow!!!!! Thank you so much. These are truly beautiful. I personally know a few of the gentlemen in these photos. It's so cool to see them as young men conquering the US with Led Zeppelin on the mammoth 1977 tour. Thank you!!!!
