  1. How about the supposed pact they made with the Devil, excluding John Paul Jones?

    Hi ozzyIsDio.

I have mentioned in an earlier article that Jimmy signed a photo, for me, in 1975, featuring him in the Black Dragon suit and it reads:

    ??????????

    GOD BLESS,

    YOUR FRIEND,

    JIMMY.

Which leads me to believe that the Devil theory was a clever additive to the already mysterious world of Led Zeppelin.

  2. Why DOESN'T Pagey Do Something? ----------------------------------> Because he wants the best for his music, and the best is the west.

Page is not the one who deliberately chooses to stand on his laurels, retire and say that he is composing and producing new music, in the same time. Page wanted to go further with John Paul, Jason and Robert after the O2, alas it didn't work with Robert.

    So, what options remains ?

Releasing intrumental music ? Going back with David ? Going back with the Crowes ? Recording an all star jam thing ? None of these choices equals the perspective of a brand new LZ record. As simple as that.

    Your right mstork.

There are a lot of fences still to be mended between Jimmy & Robert.

  4. I have a tee shirt that Jimmy gave me, the 1977 United States tour shirt, sold to the public was white on black, a hand full of black on white ones were printed for the band and their family's, I was at Plumpton and Jimmy asked if I would like a copy of @The song Remains The Same', I said that I had it, although one of the records was damaged, he gave me a copy and signed it, he asked if there was anything else, I said no I was more than happy with the album, he said he knew something I would like, he went out of the room and when he returned he had a shirt in his hand, it was the shirt that he was wearing before he left the room, it was his black on white 1977 USA Tour shirt.

  5. Knebby,

Many thanks for the information! In lieu of the ticket stub you've still provided me some

additional leads by sharing the names of others who were there and may recall it or

said something along the way in the UK press. It's good to hear there may be a newsclip from the royal reception that could shed more light on that event. In the mid-80s Jimmy kept two photos displayed side by side in his living room; one of him with Prince Charles and the the other of him with Lady Diana. If I had to guess I'd say they were taken at

that reception for British rockers but I'm seeking to confirm it.

I am not writing a book at the moment, though many have encouraged me to do so.

In this digital age a book may not be the best way to share Led Zeppelin's legacy. Sam has launched this incredible website, for example, but clearly could have done a book as well. So, in closing, I'd say that right now I'm still just on a quest for more knowledge. If I ever do get books together I'd hope to emulate Peter Guralnick's 'Elvis Last Train to Memphis' or Bill Wyman's 'Rolling With The Stones'.

I suppose there are those who view this as mere trivia, and I won't argue the point,

but this thread is just getting started. Who knows what mysteries are to come. I'm

hoping others will post their unsolved Zeppelin mysteries in this thread too.

    Yours Sincerely,

    Steve A. Jones

    Hi Steve.

You mention Jimmy having two photos in his living room, one of Charles, the other of Diana and himself, in the mid 1980's, could you tell me which house you are referring to.

    Thank you.

    ZISH.

  6. Actually, it's 2 Originals. 2 Originals of Led Zeppelin is the title.

The inside is Zep I and Zep II....I think It is German?, and was pulled immediately when Peter Grant found out Atlantic was pressing it. Yeah, it is expensive. I have had it for a long time. Maybe 20 years ago. I got it in a record shop, in freehold NJ. Think I paid around 40 bucks for it at the time. biggrin.gif
