  1. If you can’t spell it, just google it. Сan you share with us, what is there, in those copybooks?
  2. I did, but at the first glance it looked like a football team. Yes, now I see. The football team belongs to the University. It could be some Unknown Church of Feeling, how do I know? Oh, THAT one… Well, I don’t know. That thread was deleted. It was very personal, you know. Perhaps it was deleted by moderators, or by the poster. And what lectures did he give? By the way, I think you are angry at me because you are angry at yourself that you’d called me your hero, which I’m not actually.
  3. What is UCF? As for that thread, it was started by the guy named The Chosen One, and I asked him how he knows that he is the chosen one, and he never answered. That’s pretty much it.
  4. Thank you, Vicky, and welcome to the forum! Could you elaborate a little on the subject of me being your hero? And yes, Hypertemple is not my idea, it’s Willner’s idea, but I already mentioned it.
  5. Thank you very much, Scarlet, for your poem. I think it’s very, very good, dead on and well written. Most of all I like these lines: Can you please share with us your poetry site address and your alias there? I think it would be interesting, not only for me, but for everybody. You know, I read your thread “Magic, Music, Religion and Psychotherapy”, and it’s very scientific. Probably that’s good, but I could not imagine that you would agree with “Rock and roll is my religion” motto.
  6. Thank you everybody who contributed to this thread, I’ll try and answer you soon. But first things first, and I’d like to answer The Dark Lord. Thank you, TDL, for your response. Would you buy the same excuse? – my religion is metaphorical. That means, when Jimmy is waving with his bow, summoning dark powers onto the stage – he is my God, and I don’t need any other Gods and Devils, they just don’t count. Zep is my God, on stage or in studio. But when the Music’s over – OK guys, you can go back to your mosques or synagogues, or whatever you call them – I don’t mind. But then, if some fundamentalists of any sort start talking again about Jimmy and his Luciferian connections, I would just tell them: “Shut up, you don’t know what you are talking about! You can’t even play music! His Kingdom is not of this world…” That’s how I see Music Religion. Music is well above anything else, that’s all I want to say. TDL, I remember that you spoke with Jimmy. Didn’t you ask him anything about Magick, or Crowley, or Thelema? If I were you, I would. And I think he could have answered to a fan, rather than to speak with reporters. In my opinion, Crowley was just starting point for him. Jimmy and Robert always wanted to be Gods, they just weren’t sure how to achieve it. Their spiritual quest in the direction of Kashmir and Morocco is just one evidence out of many others. And now we should help them.
  7. OK yes, not literally, but figuratively, metaphorically. I have to admit: my religion is metaphorical. But I suppose that it’s a good thing for religion, and all major religions are metaphorical, although I will not try to persuade you that it’s true. Just one example: Jesus was real, but his Heavenly Father was just a metaphor he used. Because Jesus was a poet, and for any poet metaphor is more important than real live. And when I say ”John Bonham is in Heaven now”, I just mean “Bonzo is in our hearts”.
  8. Good point, Steve. I agree with you. But… there is more to it, when we deal with Led Zeppelin. When we listen to Zep, we don’t want to be ourselves anymore. We want to be there and then, with them. And we know that it’s impossible, absolutely impossible. You might find the way to speak with them (and you probably did), but you will never be one of them. ‘Cause they are not just famous musicians, not even rock-stars – they are Gods. I think it’s a very religious experience. Out of body experience, completely transcendental. The feeling is unmistakable. That’s what I’m trying to say…
  9. For me, Zep is not just a rock band, it’s a divine essence. OK, let’s assume that these words are also just a hyperbole. In that case, would you accept them?
  10. Cause you know, sometimes words have two meanings. Sorry, sorry to hear that. I wish you were serious. Cause worshipping something makes one feel better – much better.
  11. But you DO believe that Led Zeppelin cures cancer? I hope it’s not just a joke?
  12. I want to say that I am very grateful to all of you who took part in this discussion. Thanks to you, I’ve found a lot of wonderful people who like the idea of Rock Religion. Now we have a small but very friendly esoteric society, where we worship Zep Almighty, our God. If you want to join us – you are welcome, anytime.
  13. Yes, it may be that this song is about himself, but I don’t see anything wrong about it. Every genius, when he is writing a great song, is in the Presence of the Lord. That’s the main idea of the musical religion. It’s one of my favorite songs, by the way, it always gives me inspiration and goose pimples. Have you heard the live version of 2008, with Steve Winwood again? It was just awesome! If the song has lived for 40 years, there are good chances that it will live forever. So, while we are building here Led Zeppelin Hypertemple, it’s OK if someone else is building Eric Clapton Hypertemple in some place nearby. It’s like two congregations in the same church, or rather – should we call them different congas in the Temple? As I said, there is enough space in Hypertemple for every great musician. But I am sure, we Zep fans will always have advantage. Because we have our Holy Trinity - Percy, Pagey, Jonesy. Also, we have our Sky Father and His Son on Earth – meaning Bonzo and Jason, of course. I don’t want to hurt anybody’s religious feelings, but anyway… We are here on Zep site, not on a Christian one… No, you are wrong. LED ZEPPELIN is FOREVER!!!
  14. Ladies and gentlemen, let's ask ourselves: what was so special in the air in the Seventies? I mean, why were there so many extraordinary musicians, great bands on stage? My answer is: because fans worshipped them. That simple. Today we have a lot of good musicians, they play very well, no question about it – but they are not divine somehow. They just do their job. Something is lost. I am sure we can bring the balance back. All we need to do is worship great songs and their creators. Bring it back! Bring it back!
  15. I think the problem is not with us, atheists or Christians, the problem lies within the Christian religion itself. As an adept of the new, tolerant religion, I should not make any objections to the Christian faith, the greatest of them all. But as a private person, I’d like to point out just one thing about one contradiction in Christianity: Jesus is usually associated with modest life and humility. But He wants to be the one and only God, forever and ever. I wouldn’t call it very modest. And that’s the root of many, many conflicts, including those in this thread. I am very sorry about it, conflicts weren’t my purpose. That’s not what I meant, I repeat it. Now let’s take a look at Hinduism, just for a change. There are a lot of different Gods: some of them are incarnations of the One, some others are independent. Also, there are eternal Gods in Heaven and Living Gods on Earth, and each one is special, in some way. Like it or not, but there are no blasphemy, no heresy, no apostasy… and no religious wars, so-called Holy Wars, which we have in abundance, even here, in musical community. Now look at Hypertemple, as I see it. You can worship Eric Clapton, or Jimi Hendrix, or even W.-A. Mozart – that’s OK with me. But I worship only one God – that’s my choice. Of course you know His name – it’s Zep. I like it, it sounds like Zeus, but better. The God with four faces, and we love them all. The only thing – I’m not Hindu. But I hope you don’t have to be Hindu to be Zep fan.
  16. That’s right, ZeppMan! I do not worship Robert in his real, private life. But I do worship Him who has written His songs. That is, I worship Poet in the moment of Divine Inspiration. Vicky, there is not any formal evidence that your God is real and mine is not. That means, we have to be tolerant and respectful to each other’s religions. There is no evidence also that their God is more powerful than mine.
  17. You see, Hypertemple doesn’t depend on the idea of evolution or creation. It’s for everybody: for those who believe in evolution and for their opponents, who stand for creation. We need to believe in God for several reasons. Let’s assume that atheist doesn’t need the idea of God for explaining cosmogony. But still he has to feel God’s Presence in Nature. Also, he should feel Led Zeppelin’s Presence. I’m sure you know Storm Thorgerson’s words about Black Obelisk on Presence album cover: «Perhaps it was a cosmic battery, or a spiritual relic or alien artifact, exposure to which seemed essential - it filled your life, it sustained you, it bathed you in mysterious emanations. It was vital for growing infants, for education, useful to science and financial institutions, handy for both leisure and sport, indispensable even to romance. It was central to everyday existence - utilitarian, religious and addictive. So powerful that back in those days everyone had one, so powerful that nowadays one didn't need one any longer, so pervasive that the memory alone would suffice, so powerful that it didn't actually need to be there, no depth cues nor shadows cast by the object, more a hole than a thing, an absence rather than a presence. So powerful that the mere suggestion was enough, like a secretly whispered word, like a radical idea or a desert wind, substantial but not needing substance, just like the band, their music and their reputation.” It’s just one of the many examples of religious devotion to Led Zeppelin. Brilliant text! It sounds like a Credo for the new religion. I’d like to comment also on this one: I don’t think it’s a strong point. The same way we can assume that he powdered his nose while writing his lyrics or music – so what? What should we do about it? Discard all his songs? Anyway, anything can happen in psychedelic rock… Robert Plant is Golden God, guys, there’s no doubt about it. Don’t be afraid that it may offend any other God. ‘Cos we are all in the same boat.
  18. Vicky, you didn’t follow me! ( May I call you Vicky?) I talked about poets! Of course, Homer was a God! He had temples, cult statues and all this stuff. Every poet lives on, until we can find people who love him. That’s the only reason why Jesus is still alive – because You love Him. As for scientists – it doesn’t work. You will laugh again, but there were serious attempts to create new religion out of science, and great scientists should have been considered Gods. It failed. People don’t love them. They just respect them, but that’s not enough. That’s why I talk about Led Zeppelin. I want them to live forever, and people to love them – for a long time, been a long time, Been a long lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time.
  19. Then why do you call it “timeless”? Is it just ironically? Or is it really timeless, in some sense? Why don’t you call it “limited”? “Limited poetry and music of Led Zeppelin” – how does it sound for you? I thought, on the contrary, that Christians have a good sense of eternity. I’m trying to look enigmatic, with my elongated face on this elaborated Avatar. When I speak with Christian, just like you, I try to seem monotheist. I tell them about my believe in The Supreme Being. Earthly Gods are just incarnations of The One. But when speaking to poets, I admit sometimes that this Supreme Being may turn out to be just symbolic. And then, if I have a chance to speak to Jimmy Page, I will tell him that artistic Theurgy is well above practical Magic, and... yes, Magik. This is the opinion I got from Willner’s works, and he shared it with other prominent thinkers. This subject was very popular in esoteric societies in the beginning of the last century. But I suppose it could be interesting today. Did you read the book “Led Zeppelin and Philosophy”? Reading this book, you can easily get the impression that all Zeppelins are only modest and earnest pupils of Mr Crowley. But it’s completely wrong!.. Zeppelin flies much higher...
  20. Thank you, Z-o-S-o, for apologizing. I think it was important. Now, I just want to repeat after you: Let's all live in peace and harmony. And I mean it. Because we have very much in common: Led Zeppelin Music. Yeah, I’m sure people are nice, generally speaking. No burnings, no blood drinking, no human sacrifices please! Victoria, Willner’s works have been known for more than 100 years, but mostly in esoteric societies. Now we want to make an exoteric version – that is, for everybody. Led Zeppelin is the perfect object for the Theurgy, I am sure! We are only a dozen of people, as for now. But you can join in anytime, if you are interested. There will be a place for Christians, for any other religion, for atheists as well. Because Led Zeppelin is for everybody – let’s make it high and mighty!
  21. Hey hey, Z-o-S-o, I hope you are not going to burn anybody here. Please don’t do it. I want to tell you guys that the core concept of Hypertemle is aimed clearly against any aggression or violence. If you think that my purpose was to mock Christianity, please think again. Christian religion has always been an indispensable source of ideas, images and words. I’d like to give you some basic ideas of the Newest Theurgy, taken from the works of Derek Willner. Sometimes we can meet Living Gods on Earth. They are just incarnations of the Supreme Being. That is the most used term in the most religions. You can call Him the Lord above, or the One, or give Him some other name – it doesn’t matter. So, these Living Gods look like people, but they are different. You can call them Avatars, but the meaning of this word is also unclear. They have something in common: they are all poets. We call them religious teachers, but they are poets in essence. If you believe in one of them – he is your God. Poetry is the most usual miracle in everyday live. It is our connection with the Supreme Being, and with the old times. Almost all the ancient Gods were singers. Certainly, we all remember The Song of songs. Music, actually, is the highest degree of Poetry. Holy Bible was written with verses, as you know. Of course, Jesus was a poet, and so was Buddha, and many others, you name them. So far, there is nothing new, you could find it here and there. But look, we can apply this teaching to our favorite poet or singer. Oh, be careful – he should look like God, sing like God, and so on... You know what I am talking about... Four Avatars, completely different, but completely perfect, each in his own way, should meet one day, in one place, find each other... Isn’t it a miracle?
  22. Well, of course it’s not a Christian religion. But it’s not Anti-Christian, either. It’s just different. But make no mistake: there is no sin in love. I don’t talk about Robert in real live. I talk about Robert in his songs.
  23. Thank you Jangles for your wonderful post. I think there is a connection between the Ideal World of Music and the Real World we live in. There is no contradiction between the song “Ocean” and the real ocean, “The Rain Song” and the real rain. What’s more, if you have to work hard for your family, you can find some consolation in another song: “Working from seven to eleven every night…” It’s about Love, not porn. Because they are Gods.
  24. Yes, we can make our world better - but Gods create completely new worlds and universes! LedZepp created his own new world, with different rules, with other history and totally new future. Their world doesn't even look like ours, in any way! We are looking for salvation - but their world doesn't need any salvation, it is already safe and saved! Don't you agree?
  25. Yes, and that's only the first, obvious advantage! After some consideration you will find much more...
