  1. The power of poontang makes you say crazy things!
  2. Great story indeed! Buy why in the world would he wear that hat and bring Jimmy Page some of his home recordings? He's going to meet Jimmy Page and this chump is thinking "maybe Jimmy would like to hear me strum my geetar and hum." I am sure over the years Jimmy Page has been given hundreds of tapes from amateur musicians that I doubt he could give two shits about. You really think Jimmy Page is going to waste his time? Be thankful you are going to meet and spend some time with the man... and don't wear hat that is big enough for your small stature to live in!
  3. 5. Agreed 4. His new "sympathizer" was not a highlight for me. It added some cheese to the songs. 3. Setlist was not great. Rain Song, Hot Dog and All of My Love are the weakest songs in the entire set and add nothing special to the Zeppelin live experience for the 1980 tour. White Summer was a disaster and did not showcase the James Patrick Page we know and love. 2. Love Train Kept a Rollin'. The Dortmund version always gets me fired up! 1 Strange number 1! Page is clearly not enjoying the song live evident by his half-arsed solos! No flair or excitement added to the live version. Very boring. Bonzo is phoning it in for this song as well.
  4. Here is Peter Criss and Paul Stanley dressed up as Nazis attempting freak out to Gene Simmons. Ironic that Paul Stanley is Jewish and wearing the outfit.
  5. Since the beginning of the year, Catholic churches have been desecrated and vandalized in France... coincidence?
  6. I still think this concert is underrated for 77.
  7. Didn't he retire the Fender Jazz Bass in 75 because he was having issues with it?
  8. I am still on the fence and Amazon has it discounted to $42.00.
  9. That's a tough one. I always love the stuff he throws in for "The Song Remains The Same" and also some those funky breaks on "In My Time of Dying" during Jimmy's slide solo.
  10. Would not change a thing. Greatest album ever made!
  11. I take more offense if someone is referred to as "partially hetro."
  12. I wonder if they will re-release the film in theaters to coincide with the release of the reissued soundtrack.
  13. He will never win another major. The other players are not intimidated by him anymore.
  14. Rewarded by a deeply satisfying morning poop to cleanse the mind and body.
  15. I can never listen to those two songs the same way again! Funny shit!
  16. I agree with For Your Life mostly because Page's guitar solo on the studio cut is one of his best(in my opinion) and he could not replicate it live. But I still love the O2 attempt. I have always loved Over the Hills live and most of the live versions I've heard (3/4/75 my favorite) has always blown away the studio version even if Plant's voice could never reach those high notes ever again which I know turns alot of people off.
  17. I will celebrate at home with some of Bonzo's greatest moments recorded on tape accompanied by some ganja.
  18. I love the 2/12 MSG show and Page is on fire (along with Bonzo and Jonsey) but Gibson makes a good point of Jimmy falling off the rails right after Dazed. The quality of the soundboard recording also enhances the quality of the show even if Plant's voice isn't up to snuff.
  19. I agree about Baton Rouge. I think the whole show is overrated. St. Louis on the other hand is a great unmentioned show. One of my favorite versions of "In My Time of Dying."
  20. I have an original Elektra 1st press of Funhouse on vinyl and it is an amazing sounding record. The louder you crank it, the better is sounds and it creates a pleasant disturbance to my neighbors.
  21. If there is a reunion, JPJ's contract must include that clause.
  22. Actually I think I meant 1/20... the show with "When the Levee Breaks."
