  2. Tom Sawyer, by a nose. I love Black Dog. My introduction to Led Zeppelin was that song. But the guitar solo and infamous drum fill of Tom Sawyer slays me every time. In The Light since 1972. Trampled Under Foot. My life with Led Zeppelin. http://petedelorean.tumblr.com
  3. A love letter to The Fountain Theater: http://petedelorean.tumblr.com/parable
  4. Holy sh**t that is so hilarious!! Well played, TM! I think I am going to start a thread soon of the funniest things I have seen in my short time on this forum. This is one of them. And I love anyone from Texas, my favorite state in the nation. In The Light since 1972. Trampled Under Foot. My life with Led Zeppelin. http://petedelorean.tumblr.com/
  5. News of the California Teachers Pension Fund removing their $600 million invested in the fund that is attached to the company that manufactures the AR-15 rifle used in the Connecticut school massacre. In The Light since 1972. Trampled Under Foot. My life with Led Zeppelin. http://petedelorean.tumblr.com/
  6. Pittsburgh Steelers since 1974. When I was ten. They won their first Super Bowl 6 month later. I have met Rocky Bleier and Terry Bradshaw. My favorite players were Jack Lambert and Lynn Swann. A source of joy almost my entire life. In my Zeppelin essay (below) I draw a connection between them and the Mighty Zeppelin. In The Light since 1972. Trampled Under Foot. My life with Led Zeppelin. http://petedelorean.tumblr.com/
  7. Sun: Aquarius Rising: Scorpio Moon: Leo In The Light since 1972. Trampled Under Foot. My life with Led Zeppelin. http://petedelorean.tumblr.com/

  9. Has to be three in a row. G N R Lies is in there, or I would have definitely included those three also. In The Light since 1972. Trampled Under Foot. My life with Led Zeppelin. http://petedelorean.tumblr.com/
  10. You participated in two threads where I stated that I went to pains to search the topic beforehand: Caught up in the moment, I was just asking. In The Light since 1972. Trampled Under Foot. My life with Led Zeppelin. http://petedelorean.tumblr.com/
  11. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. A common argument but there is one loophole: Guns make it spectacularly easy for one person to kill another. In The Light since 1972. Trampled Under Foot. My life with Led Zeppelin. http://petedelorean.tumblr.com/
  12. I hold early JA in the highest regard. Top Ten all-time band. There's an official release of one of the Palladium shows? Did you attend all three Palladium shows? How were the Universal shows? Which "opening sets" are you referring to? Have you ever seen the Milan 1990 show? I bought the VHS 15 years ago in a head shop in El Paso. I love the way that sounds. Have you ever seen the Lollapalooza 1991 show in Ohio? Whores is one of my five favorite YouTube music videos, ever. Glorious anarchy. Ok enough of me drifting off topic. I am going to start an acoustic/folk trio:
  13. The powers that be in your country of choice appear to disagree with you. In The Light since 1972. Trampled Under Foot. My life with Led Zeppelin. http://petedelorean.tumblr.com/
  14. Yes Yes Yes and Yes. The mistake the gun lobby and Libertarians make is the assumption that people basically behave rationally. They don't and never will. Mental illness is stigmatized and our county is awash in guns. Perhaps not too late to change the first, definitely too late to change the second. If you rush out to buy a 9MM you are part of the problem, not the solution. At the core of gun ownership is fear. Something is going to go down eventually and I am going to be ready. In The Light since 1972. Trampled Under Foot. My life with Led Zeppelin. http://petedelo
  15. Sublime. These are cagey choices. Dummy, Mezzanine, and Autobahn slay me every time. I would add Massive Attack's 100th Window. Hey chillumpuffer, what the hell are skinheads on a boat? In The Light since 1972. Trampled Under Foot. My life with Led Zeppelin. http://petedelorean.tumblr.com/
  16. A co-worker of mine is a fanatic about Graveyard! I heard them yesterday for the first time! Someone plays the P.E. card. Love it! In The Light since 1972. Trampled Under Foot. My life with Led Zeppelin. http://petedelorean.tumblr.com/
  17. Strider- Can't believe you listed both Anita O'Day and Sigur Ros. U got mad skills brother. A close friend of mine met Anita back in L.A. in the 80's or thereabouts. I think she was on a book tour or some type of signing. She sat on his lap and spoke of her druggy days. I have Pick Yourself Up With Anita O'Day on original vinyl. Jane's Addiction is one of my Top Ten bands, but I have never had their first album. I need to get it. Do you have Live At The Palladium boot? If not I will mail one to you. I wanted to include Miles but I couldn't find three in a row that I am partial to.
  18. Hello Zeppies! An interview by David Carr with Neil Young. Carr is one of my favorite journalists. He writes well covering media for the New York Times and occasionally does freewheeling stream-of-consciousness videos called the Sweet Spot in their cafeteria (!) with AO Scott, the NY Times main film critic, and one of the finest film critics alive. http://www.nytimes.c...?pagewanted=all In The Light since 1972. Trampled Under Foot. My life with Led Zeppelin. http://petedelorean.tumblr.com/
  19. About to slit my wrists because I forgot the following bands: Surfer Rosa - Doolittle - Bossanova OK Computer - Kid A - Amnesiac Are You Experienced - Axis Bold As Love - Electric Ladyland In The Light since 1972. http://petedelorean.tumblr.com/

  21. That looks delicious. I would add about 20 additional pieces of bacon, though. Tonight: Subway 6" BMT Toasted with bacon (!!!) on white. Featuring jalapenos, pickles, and pepperoncinies. In The Light since 1972. Trampled Under Foot. My life with Led Zeppelin. http://petedelorean.tumblr.com/
  22. Love your take on things, hecube. In The Light since 1972. Trampled Under Foot. My life with Led Zeppelin. http://petedelorean.tumblr.com/

  25. A few years back I asked myself which albums are the three greatest back-to-back-to-back rock albums ever recorded. While I love Led Zeppelin infinitely more than The Rolling Stones, I have to admit that my choice is three albums recorded by the Stones. I am not sure if the word should be “greatest,” or “favorite.” A blend of both, I guess. Looking at band’s discographies to arrive at this list can be a challenge. I would have loved to have included The Red Hot Chili Peppers, but cannot, because of One Hot Minute. Pink Floyd would be a shoe-in, except that some can get hung up on Wish Yo
