  1. I just read that article. Very nice. Since I already got to see Joe Walsh and Bad Company Thursday in Dallas it's to late for me, but Joe said that he might jam with Bad Company or vice versa sometime before the tours end (and I'm sure it would happen more than once). Now that is something that would be truly amazing. Why couldn't that happen on the opening night of the tour in Dallas? Damn You Joe!!!
  2. Bad Company was very good and it was the first time I had seen them. Every song they played was a song that would be known by most big Bad Company fans.
  3. There is a reason that Joe Fucking Walsh is in my top 5 favorite guitarists of All-Time, and last night I witnessed my reasons why. Mr. Walsh puts on one Hell of show and for those that have seen him in the past might know or remember this: Joe is one of the funniest and craziest performers ever. His in between songs banter is hilarious (if you can hear and understand what he is saying). Their is also a softer and more poignant side to him as he reflected on the passing of his "friend" and "brother", Glenn Frey. I don't want to spoil anything for those who are planning on seeing this awesome performer, but it almost brought tears to my eyes as he paid tribute to Glenn. One last thing: Two of his backup singers were absolutely stunning and gorgeous. Their were four and one of them was a guy. The two I am referring to were beautiful women. The cameramen must have thought the same thing as they were prominently featured on the two large screens that were on display at both sides of the stage. I urge anyway who is a true fan of Music to go see Joe Walsh if He comes anywhere within 200 miles of where you live. You will NOT regret it.
  4. Thanks!!! I am here now and it is now intermission time. I actually missed about 20 minutes of Joe Walsh (which really sucks) but the first complete song I saw was Fucking Awesome. The Bomber. (If anyone is unfamiliar with this Fucking Classic, I urge you to look it up on YouTube). Bad Company just took the stage. Later, for now.
  5. On my way to see Mr. Joe Walsh and Bad Company on their first gig of the tour in Dallas, Texas. I love Joe Walsh.
  6. Jimi Hendrix did not invent the Electric Guitar. I do not know how or where you came to that conclusion. The first Electric Guitar was first modernized by Les Paul. Les Paul may not have actually invented the Electric Guitar but he was one of, if not the first, to make the Electric Guitar a modern staple that would eventually change the course of History.
  7. I just watched the ending of the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony on HBO and I have to say two things: Sheryl Crow is hot and has nice long legs and at the very end, they showed Prince ripping it up on guitar at a previous Rock and Roll Hall of Fame appearance where He tore it up on a version of "My Guitar Gently Weeps". I found the original clip. Here it is.
  8. I agree 100% with you and Sir Anthony Hopkins.
  9. If you are referring to my post, I will say thanks. I know what I say and I know what I think. John Bonham is the most influential drummer of all-time.
  10. His arms, his feet, his body and most importantly, his mind.
  11. I have been re-watching Breaking Bad on the Sundance channel every chance I can on late Wednesday nights. I have to say and will again, these last episodes of this award-winning show are some the best and most Powerful episodes in the history of American television. After this post, the final two episodes will air next Wednesday night (04/27/16). By the way, I have the entire BrBa series on dvd, but it is fun for me to watch this awesome show on television without putting in the dvds. When the commercials come on, I just put on my headphones and listen to a Led Zeppelin bootleg.
  12. Who said that Jimi Hendrix is the winner and Jimmy Page is the loser? You? What credentials do you have to state that Jimi is the winner over Jimmy?
  13. I bought Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Blu-ray yesterday for only $19.99 at Wal-Mart. I watched it when I got home which makes it now 4 times that I have seen it. 3 times in the theaters and now once at home. The Blu-ray edition comes with a separate disc with all the "bonus" features. I have not seen any of this disc yet. Being a big Star Wars fan, I am sure that I will like seeing all the extras that are on the disc.
  14. That is a cool picture strider. I just came across it and I knew that was Ileana Douglass and Jennifer Tilly. I know this because Ileana was and is a great actress and in some of the best Marty Scorsesse and Robert Deniro movies. A very beautiful and most talented actress.
  15. Simple and Easy answer: NO. There will never be another band of the stature and world-wide success that Led Zeppelin achieved, at least not in our lifetime.
  16. Yesterday I went to go see Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the $ movies here in Texas. This was my third time seeing this epic saga in a movie theater. However, it turns out that the $1 movies is now the $2.25 movies, although this particular theater is known as the $1 movies. I am not quibbling at the price of admission because I paid $20 to see this same movie a day before it was "officially" released and then a couple of weeks later I paid $12.50 to see this same movie in "3D". ... And I will pay the $20 or so dollars to own this when it is released on Blu-Ray in about a week or so. LONG LIVE STAR WARS and May THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!!! Those of you who believe in the Force.
  17. In the Light: In my opinion Led Zeppelin's most beautiful and most epic song.
  18. That is very nice to hear. I hope that Mr. Page lives past that and well in his hundreds. Although I already know that James Patrick Page is Immortal and will live on for thousands of years to come (I think that He even knows that).
  19. It was Jerry Weintraub, who promoted Elvis Presley and Led Zeppelin, that he apparently saw Jimmy Page in a bad state and said what you quoted and yes it was in 1977. What I find very ironic (and unfortunate) is that Jerry Weintraub died about a year or two ago and Jimmy Page is still alive. I don't think that Jerry did as much drugs as Jimmy did, but, nonetheless, they were in the same entertainment business that Cocaine was just a motivating factor as were American dollars and American fame.
  20. I am sure that some of you have heard this tragic news already. Wife of Eagles founding member Randy Meisner accidentally shot herself dead after drunken domestic disturbance.
  21. Robert Plant on Tuesday, March 15 at the Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas.
  22. Happy Anniversary to Mr. and Mrs. Walter. If you are going to Spring Training, I urge you to try and at least check out a Saint Louis Cardinals exhibition game if you are in the area to see how good the Cardinals will be again this season. Just kidding. Have a great time.
  23. I just finished watching the last episode of the "Wire". It took me about two months to watch all five seasons. I thought that is was a really good and compelling show. It was shot in and around the city of Baltimore, Maryland. Not to incense or infuriate Baltimore city and its residents, but the show did portray the city as violent and bankrupt (among many other negatives). The cast was excellent. Jimmy McNulty and Omar Little were my two favorite characters. https://youtu.be/UmtuRRhtGQw
  24. Rush is my second favorite band after Led Zeppelin. I had seen Geddy Lee on that Metal Show last year, before the start of the 2015 tour, and he said that this might be the last ever full Rush tour because Neil wanted to spend more time with his new wife and child. Once I heard that I realized that I had to see Rush again because this might signal the end to Rush as a live act. I attended the sixth concert of the 2015 tour in Dallas, Texas and I went all out and flew to Las Vegas, Nevada to attend the fourth to the last gig. I figured, since I have the time and money to see my second favorite band, why not go out in style and go to Las Vegas, a city that I always wanted to visit but never really had a reason too. (I am not a big gambler). I had a great time seeing Rush at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and another great time staying at the MGM Grand that I might go back to Las Vegas just to back to Las Vegas. LONG LIVE THE MIGHTY RUSH!!! This is the fourth to the last show that Rush last performed. Absolutely amazing: https://youtu.be/NMh3NfD56Pk
  25. I cannot believe that it is going on almost 6 fucking years that Mr. Ronnie James Dio left this earth. I can remember the day that I heard that Ronnie James finally succumbed to his illness. I cried and cried my eyes out. I am almost at that point again, six years later. I will say that I was fortunate to see RJD only once in my life back in the 1990's that I can't even remember the actual date but I remember the experience. It was in a small club across the river known as the Mississippi, in Illinois. I swear to Dio that I got to shake his hand and he looked right at me and nodded. I said to him, "You Rock". The very next song he sang was "We Rock". https://youtu.be/kE__YoKNnho
