Absolutely. If you have a halfway decent collection of bootlegs, especially 1975, then odds are you have an Artie tape in your collection.

His 1975 tapes were available long before the soundboards came out. The first Artie tape I acquired was the famous Montreal 1975 bootleg. First issued on the Amazing Kornyfone label in 1975 (TAKRL 2960), then reissued on Phoenix Records and other labels in the 1980s.

I don’t believe Artie recorded the Montreal show. Those are some French Canadians working the recorder. Also, Artie never mentions Montreal in the podcast with Mark. But I could be wrong.

  2. Awesome! Thank you for sharing. Interesting to see that Bonham had shaved his beard before the last gig.

I remember getting the aud recording of this gig and Hannover on tape back in 84 and I couldn’t stop listening to them. Since then I’ve always had an appreciation for the 1980 Over Europe Tour. Dave Lewis has a great book out on this final tour that’s well worth getting.

This is awesome,Mark. Thanks for sharing. Love your podcasts!

That Grant interview was also excellent. I’ve was lucky enough to attend all of Grant’s Zepfests back in the day and he always put on a great convention. It’s good to hear his voice. Cheers

    Was in Vienna ?

No doubt the Vienna “Dazed” is top shelf along with Offenburg…. but in my opinion the tightest and slickest Dazed and Confused is from the 27th of July 1973. It’s perfect.

Very well put together documentary on Houses Of The Holy and the various events that lead to it as we know it.  I don't think I ever heard the Eddie Kramer story about the Indian food.

Here is part 2 which was released earlier today.

If you’re out there reading this JCM…..thank you for these great docs…. excellent job.
