  1. TAAB is great. I'm partial to Benefit
  2. I liked them. They had their own sound, and were a great live act back in the day. I know a number of people on this forum like to trash them but I'm not one of them. Tull had a huge following in this part of the world. They were one of the bands that pushed my musical tastes in other directions.
  3. They were MSG. There's a thread about Zep being the heaviest band ever, elsewhere on the forum. I think you know what I mean when i say heavy is an experience ...not a sound... The Stones during that era.... Were ....HEAVY.... Loved Them
  4. $6.75 That's what I paid to see them in 72. Great tour by a great band...at their peak IMO. Too bad we had a riot outside the venue. BTW... All the women at the show thought Mick could dance just fine
  5. They were a good band in the early day's. Saw them at the Garden's with the Specials and again at the Colisseum with XTC. Gotta say they had they're work cut out for them at both shows

Terrible tragedy Too many of these accidents have happend over the years
  7. Knock Yourself Out....Tower Of Power: LIve In Sacramento 76
  8. They're one of the greatest bands ever. Saw them in 73 and was blown away. Only wish i'd seen them when Duane was still with us. Boz Scaggs backed them up, and he and Les Dudek joined in to jam. Dudek & Betts were amazing.
  9. It's worries me that Zeppelin get so much airplay. This is nothing new. I find more often than not these day's that I actually change the station to avoid the saturation. But guess what..... They're playing Zeppelin too... I mean IV..
  10. Magic Sam never ceases to amaze me. Zeppelin's critics were left in the dust ages ago and some seem to still be taking offence to the fact that... none of us listened to their garbble. Well done Sam
  11. Amazing artist. It blows me away that so many.... know so little about Peter Green.

  15. if you want circa 70's Try to get an old tubed reciever or amp of suitable power. Marantz, Sansui to name a few affordable brands. Macintosh if you've got a few dollars. Old speakers? JBL 100 , Altec, Cerwan Vega, Bose 901 or anything that sounds good to you. Your the one listening. I still have and listen to my old Marantz 2240 reciever, pair of ESS LS5 speakers and a Dual turntable with a Stanton 681 EEE cartridge. Still sounds great and worth any repair that might need doing
