He was in Kyuss back in the day.

I haven’t seen a thread dedicated to this terrific artist, so now we have one. When anyone tries to sell the notion that rock is dead, crank up some great Brant Bjork songs for them.

a good ole fashioned rock and roll band

Godspeed Mr Cole, An integral part of the Led Zeppelin story. Your contributions were vast and you will always be remembered as long as anyone knows the story of the Zeppelin.

Thanks Steve. I always thought it curious but not surprising that the elder vocalists of the day did not participate. Plant, Jagger, Mac etc.

Pretty sure he was there at the recording of Do They Know it's Christmas. I recall watching some of the news footage at the time and he is in the background on some scenes (unless it's my mind playing tricks on me).
I don’t recall seeing him in the video, perhaps you could elaborate on what scenes he was in. Possibly edited out of the final take?

Question? Was Robert ever invited to the Band-Aid sessions? I’ve never heard anything either pro or con on the subject.

Tommy Bolin under appreciated and gone too soon. https://youtu.be/RCbc0XnrKk8

Was fun to explore the new site today. I especially liked the links to the various songs and the variety of artists JPJ has worked with over the years. The Diamanda Galás, Jones appearance on Jon Stewart was something to watch.

Does Jimmy’s acceptance of a good smack in the face from Plant for showing up drunk to a show in ‘95 count as a good backstage disagreement?

A different take on the Immigrant Song.

Was a good interview. Robert sounds like he is enjoying life and his craft. Good for him.

Zeppelin was done by 1980 even if John Bonham had lived. Jimmy was too far gone past his good and creative days. Plant wanted away from the circus and Peter Grant was a mess as well at that point. The young and hungry band was gone and the 80's version would have been a drug addicted alcoholic shame to the great band they once were.

Page has always needed Jones to give him that something extra that didn't always show up in the songwriting credits. I would love to hear what they came up with in 2008.
