  1. Please excuse me for saying, but wtf is a moose burger?
  2. Damn it, just the mere mention of that name makes me blush
  3. oh ....... and by "pissed" I meant pissed off and angry, not pissed as in i've drunk too much
  4. hahahaha ....... I'm just a softie at heart, you know that But I am kinda pissed at the moment, so I let fly. Plus I love that expression. Saying it through gritted teeth is even better
  5. I don't know you, nor have I interacted with you on this forum, but I can tell you that most of the reasons why someone feels like you do, is because someone else has instilled those feelings into you. Someone else has made you feel like shit! Don't let them. Fuck them in the face!! Be strong, stand up for yourself and be yourself.
  6. Not so much unhappy, but more appalled. How dare you post this comment in a thread about a man who has just opened his heart to us about losing his son!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Oh Shit! You really did call her Kasey! I'm blushing ..... and laughing at the same time
  8. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them. Lest we forget.
  9. aarrgghhhhhhhhhhhh ......... you dick ............
  10. Damn it! I knew it was a mistake mentioning KC Do a little dance, make a little love, Get down tonight. It was an effort making the plane the next morning, but I zonked out for the whole flight ...... and then slept solidly for about 12 hours, was awake for a little while and then passed out again til this morning (wednesday). Good luck with your new babies. Do they have a name yet?
  11. He was actually really good when I saw him on a previous night. But my last day/evening went with .... Kim Chrurchill (local boy who lives close to me), then the African reggae Sly & Robbie for a little while, but they became too much of the same after a while. So I wandered around the stalls, watched the buskers, ate some food and had a few wines etc, then had a crazy burst of insanity and saw KC & the Sunshine Band. What an absolute blast that was .... although embarrassing so ..... hahahaha. Next I headed for Joss Stone, who did Put A Spell on you with Jeff Beck, which was incredible, then followed with the first part of Michael Franti, but then left, caught a bit of Booker T Jones and finally headed over to see Playing For Change and the incredible Grandpa Elliott again. Great choice, as was all of my selections for the day. Highlights for me .... an old fave of mine Jack Johnson, Warren Haynes joining the Dave Matthews Band performing "All Along The Watchtower" and the amazing Playing For Change with Grandpa Elliott. Loved every second of their perfomance. Surprise highlights ..... Damn you KC & the Sunshine Band and also the jazz funk band of Larry Graham & Graham Central Station. What an absolute blast these guys were. Wonderful 5 days, but thoroughly exhausting .... and I turned into a hippy grub ..... again .... hahaha
  12. I'm heading out for the last day of Bluesfest shortly. It's been an incredible 4 days so far, but i'm starting to falter at the last post ..... my little bod is mighty weary. I can't decide who to see for the last act of the night/and 5 day festival. Dave Mathews, with Michael Franti as the prior performer on the main and biggest stage (will be packed), or Playing For Change, with Grandpa Elliott, or I can even see Elvis Costello on yet another stage. I've saw both Dave Mathews and Playing for Change the other day and enjoyed them both ...... hhmmmm decisions, decisions. At the moment i'm favouring seeing Sly & Robbie and then Booker T Jones on one stage and then racing over to another area to catch PFC and Grandpa Elliott as my finale. My thoughts could change though. http://www.showticksecure.com/bluesfest2013/venuenet/_uploads/fckeditor/pdfs/playing_schedule.pdf
  13. "a bit far" ......... pfft. Look how far it was for me !!! hahaha Hope you both find something nice to do today for hubby's birthday xxx
  14. Walter, Best wishes for your wife getting through chemo and having a successful result. Bluesfest is an annual Easter 5 day festival. They always have a fabulous line of of Aussie and overseas artists, including both JPJ and Robert Plant in the past. I didn't see Plant when he was there last year, but Jules and I went to his show in Sydney instead.
  15. Happy Birthday to Mr Slave for tomorrow. Drive up the coast and come join me in Byron at Bluesfest .... waaahhooooooooooooo Dave Mathews, John Butler Trio, Jeff Beck, Govt Mule, Playing For Change (Grandpa Elliot), Larry Graham, Black Sorrows and thats just Saturday night http://www.showticksecure.com/bluesfest2013/venuenet/_uploads/fckeditor/pdfs/playing_schedule.pdf
  16. Just 3 picks for me. Adam Scott Jason Day Matt Jones
  17. Yes, it's a humpback whale. They have a unique eye and mouth placement. This pic of a very young humpback calf, shows their rotating eye ball area, looking down. Talking about sturgeon and nasty sea creatures, a local lady was killed by a shark this morning at a beach not far from where I live. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nsw/woman-killed-in-tathra-beach-shark-attack-on-the-nsw-south-coast/story-fni0cx12-1226873154777
  18. After watching some of the previous seasons of River Monsters I think the safest expanse of water to be in is our bath tubs
  19. My description, thoughts and words are a lot harsher than yours. Unfortunately, now they will probably only take their slaughter up into the northern waters of Europe. That River Monster series is screening on our Discovery channel. I've seen a few episodes and it's certainly jaw dropping. Redrum, I know this is off topic for this thread, but at the very minimum, how can the Japanese still deny the bombing of Pearl harbour? There's documented proof! Maybe find another thread to reply, so as not to distract from this one (let me know where)
  20. Best news i've heard in a long time http://www.news.com.au/national/australia-wins-whaling-case-against-japan-in-the-hague/story-fncynjr2-1226870210553 "The International Court of Justice ruled that Japan's whaling program is not for scientific purposes and has forbidden the granting of further whaling permits. The finding by a 16-judge panel at the ICJ is in favour of Australia's argument that Japan's whaling program is carried out for commercial purposes". Even though Japan insisted it's lethal research was both lawful and necessary it has to abide by the International Justice Court's ruling. Japan inhumanly slaughters thousands of Minke whales, plus the magnificent Humpbacks and Southern Right whales in Australian and Antarctic waters each year for supposed scientific studies, when in fact, all they're doing is providing whale meat for consumption. So later this year, when I watch the annual return migration of these beautiful, gentle giants with their playful, new born calves .... I'll know they will make it home safely and not end up hacked to death and served on a Japanese dinner plate.
  21. Cowan is being placed in protective custody, in an isolation unit of a high security prison. I wouldn't mind my tax dollars paying for the imprisonment of this scum, provided he lived quite a long life in general population .... where each day he had to endure a torturous nightmare of pain, just like he inflicted on his young innocent victims. There may be hope though. Be warned, there is a clip of Cowan's previous "Dark Past" half way down the page. If you are at all uneasy, or upset about this, don't watch it. In fact, don't click on any of the clips. Just read the story, because i'm tired of hearing what this sub-human animal has done. http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensland/daniel-morcombe-murderer-brett-peter-cowan-at-high-risk-of-bashing-while-in-jail/story-fnihsrf2-1226855280869
  22. I had to stop listening to and reading the details of what this piece of scum inflicted on Daniel Morecombe. It was so disturbing, horendous and upsetting. I can not imagine in any realm of possibility what his poor parents and family have been through and endured over the past ten years. Nor how they had the strength to be in court every single day over this 5 week trial to hear the chilling details of what this sadistic animal did to their son. After the trial yesterday, Brett Cowan's previous record and history was allowed to be released to the public. This sexual preditor was also previously convicted of raping a six and seven year old boy, plus had other sexual encounters with about 30 young children. I can't even bring myself to write any more of his history. I hope Daniel's parents, family and friends find some sort of closure and the nightmares will fade a little. Well done to the police who worked meticulously for ten years to solve this case and bring this lowlife animal to trial and succesfully have him convicted.
