  1. It was like a kiss on the forehead.
  2. Page is a gunslinger with...Presence. I would choose to travel 3000 miles just to watch him tune a fucking guitar over going across town to see Clapton host another 3 day guitar fest.
  3. I've worn out 8-Tracks, cassettes and vinyls worth of Zeppelin and now have them in google cloud(s). I also like the Dead very much so. Of course sometimes I may put Patsy Cline and Black Sabbath in the same playlist so it might not be saying much, heh.
  4. I became obsessed with Zeppelin shortly after Presence was released. I was 16 years old and salivating like pavlov's dog waiting for ittod to be released. I mowed some lawns, grabbed the cash and cranked up that first track thinking OMFG...it's here spinning on my turntable finally. That impending opening of "promised" greatness oozing from my speakers...oh this is gonna be so fucking good. Fuck you eddie van halen, my Lords are Back! By the end of the record I was like...wtf? where is black dog 2.0, For More Life, and The Deeper Ocean?? Depression actually set in for a few weeks. Started playing Sabotage a lot to spite them. About ten years later I started thinking Fool In The Rain was really damn good in fact. Amazing actually. The middle of Carouselambra was like soaring through clouds in a dream. Twenty years later I'm Gonna Crawl(which originally made my 16 yr old self cringe) I finally came to realize was a perfect ending to one of the most amazing decade long collections of sounds ever produced by humans. I still suspect they scribbled Hot Dog as the Starship flew over texas in 1977
  5. I really thought the scene with "What Is And What Should Never Be" in Silver Lining Playbook was very well done. If the scene had just been described to me I wouldn't have thought it would work, but watching it, the director used the song to build that scene in a way that after watching it, I cannot think of any other song they could have possibly used.
  6. "Everytime he struck the guitar with the bow, the laser pyramid would turn and I believe add more sides to it. It was the first time I had ever seen it and was completely blown away! By the end of the bow segment, the pyramid was just spinning around him as continued to just smack away at the Les Paul." Exactly like The Firm show I saw. That was a magical night and it was the first time I saw Page perform live after salivating over those Zeppelin albums for over a decade so I was like a little kid coming down the stairs to find Santa Claus playing air guitar by the Christmas tree.
  7. "Jimmy's solo with the lasers was a highlight, never seen anything like it at the time." Was that like the lasers with The Firm? They formed a triangle around him during the bow sequence of Dazed and Confused. Best concert moment I ever had.
