  1. I don't think you can really medlize too many Zeppelin tunes because they were so many different styles.
  2. He can't even sing his Who songs anymore how can he sing some songs live that Robert Plant can't really sing anymore. I can see changing styles to fit Daultry but I would rather see Page go out with some young guy.
  3. Zurich was good outside of the mess up during Kashmir. I liked Vienna on 6-26.
  4. I don't think so. I mean every big time guitarist uses a Les Paul guitar.
  5. I think this is the same version as the PBS one from about 2 years ago.
  6. Paul McCartney and the Rolling Stones were perfect individuals with family wholesome histories. Not to mention Jacko and Prince.
  7. Probably my 2nd favorite band ever./
  8. I know exactly what you mean Steve. He is very good at being close to the vest and not really giving away real information. Hopefully he is honest about doing a tour and releasing new music.
  9. It's probably similar to the Bath setlist just 6 days later.
  10. I think this is my favorite from 70. Bonham was so amazing in this one.
  11. 03-21 Vancouver obviously it's a SB there's also a solid aud from this one 09-19 NYC both shows are good 08-15 Yale is a decent show, but it's probably a little bit of a step down in quality. 02-28 is another good one. There's a couple others that are pretty decent.
  12. Maybe he's talking about the 1990 Glastonbury gig? But Jones wasn't involved. They did play Misty Mountain Hop.
  13. Yes he had surgery on his vocal chords somewhere around 73 or 74 but he got some of his range back by the last tour.
  14. That is an amazing version of that song. Wish they would have included it on the DVD
  15. May 17th 18th, 23rd, 24th, 25th. All 5 shows were pretty amazing. About 3 hours and 20 minutes each give or take. The last one is the longest recorded Zeppelin show of 3 hours and 45 minutes.
  16. I don't think anyone really overlooks him anymore, maybe while the band was big. But remember when he did the Grammy's with the Foo Fighters the guy announcing it referred to him using Zeppelin. What made Zeppelin so amazing is that all 4 members are among the best ever at their fields in music.
  17. http://www.wdr.de/tv/rockpalast/extra/videos/2009/1208/them_crooked_vultures.jsp Full show and interview. 1 hr and 36 min.
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPNnBisii1M Alter Bridge doing a Page & Plant style Kashmir cover. Alice in Chains with a symphony helping them on Kashmir.
  19. Here's a new batch 311 doing D'yer Mak'er Joe Bonamassa doing Tea For One http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbdFgGmTcdE Tool doing No Quarter in 1994 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YF_yZrW3zSY Jethro Tull doing Kashmir Brian Johnson doing a little Rock and Roll Blind Melon doing Out on the Tiles STP - Dancing Days
  20. Roth Halen doing The Rover http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xu2IbWYxgAY
  21. Soundgarden doing Communication Breakdown, sound quality is average at best but it's still pretty solid cover. Cornell will sometimes cover Led Zeppelin's Thank You also. It's not that bad. A band called Ibex also covered the Zeppelin classic back when it was a new song. Lead singer would soon be Freddie Mercury, this was before the name change I believe. Anyway here's that version. It's not as good as the SG version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WBw8ezvqsQ But here is a good quality cover of Zeppelin from Queen, sound quality isn't that great. But it's Immigrant Song Aerosmith did some Zeppelin covers over the years. Here is the best on NYE 1999-2000 in Japan, Little bit of Heartbreaker, of course Steven doesn't know the words but nobody's perfect. Here's one of my favorite funny versions of a Zepp tune. Foo Fighters doing Stairway. Warning on the last one it was meant to be funny so don't take it so seriously. I'm sure I can come up with more later.
  22. It took over 20 years for Jimmy to release stuff from the 70s from the band. Jimmy goes on his own time not on what everyone else does.
